Excursion recommendations: Universe, the historic surroundings, Sønderborg Castle, Dybbøl Mill and the small town of Sønderborg. On the nearby Kegnæs peninsula there are excellent bathing beaches. In the dune depressions you are undisturbed, in the sandy shore the children will surely like to go shell hunting. Fishing from the coast is also possible here.
