About this house rental
This vacation home is located in a resort on a hill overlooking the Gulf of Corinth and the mountains of the mainland. The nearest beach is at a distance of 800 meters, the nearest mini-market in the village as well as the nearest restaurant by the sea are also 800 meters away. The lively towns of Xylokastro and Kiato are good for shopping, both local products and international brands. Historical sites such as ancient Corinth, ancient Sikyon, Lake Stymfalia, numerous Byzantine monasteries, exceptional natural beauty and mountain villages are within a 30 minute to 1 hour and 30 minute drive. Both in summer and winter this area is worth visiting and offers a wide range of sports (snow skiing in Helmos), cultural activities (Sikyon festival), nature experiences (Lake Doxa, lake cave). Epidavros, Mystras, Olympia, medieval castles and other interesting places in Peloponnese can be visited within a day trip (2 hours 30 or longer drive). Delphi can be reached within 2 hours 30 minutes via the Rio-Antirio bridge. The main distances: from the port in Patras it is 2 hours 30 (138 km), from Athens airport 2 hours drive and from Athens center 1 hour 30 (115 km).

Oben, über dem Golf von Korinth, mit Blick auf das Meer und Berge, durften wir eine schöne Zeit unserer 2 monatigen Reise verbringen. Schon der Empfang von Christiana war sehr herzlich und mit sie zeigte uns ihr liebevoll eingerichtets Haus. Zum Empfang war der Kühlschrank mit sebstgemachten Erfrischungen gefüllt. (Danke für das leckere Limonadenrezept von der Großmutter). Die,neben unserer geplanten Ausflüge, wurden von Christiana durch weitere Anregungen vermehrt. Auch Danke dafür! Die Bahnreise mit der Zahnradbahn oder der Ausflug nach Stymphalia zu den Seen wären für uns sonst ungesehen geblieben. Insgesamt war die Villa für uns ein optimaler Ausgangsort für viele Erkundungstouren. Die einstündige Bahnfahrt nach Athen vom nahegelegenen Bahnhof war auch ein guter Tipp von Christiana.
Wir haben uns in der Villa wie zuhause gefühlt. Die bestausgestatte Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen und so konnten wir nach unseren Ausflügen am Abend unsere selbstzubereiteten Speisen auf einer der Terassen genießen.
Nochmals vielen dank Christiana, wir können Dein Domzil wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Lage, Ausstattung und Pflegezustand von Christianas Haus waren mehr als überzeugend. Frühstück bei diesem Ausblick auf der Terrasse, da kann der Tag nur super werden. Alles, was es zum Leben braucht ist im Haus vorhanden und funktioniert tadellos. Der (sogar elektrisch beleuchtete) gemauerte Grill rundet den Tag mit einem perfekten BBQ nach einer der vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung ab. Die Eigentümerin Christiana ist eine sehr hilfsbereite, zuvorkommende und humorvolle Zeitgenossin. Wir hatten auch Kontakt während unseres Aufenthalt und sie gab uns reichlich Ausflugstipps, wobei uns leider die Zeit ausging. Danke an Christiana für das tolle Willkommenheißen, das super gepflegt Haus und den atemberaubenden Garten. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Well equipped house with nice garden overlooking the sea. The owner Christina spent time suggesting places and restaurants to visit. She also arranged for us to hand over the keys for our departure at 7 am. Well situated for many beaches but also the mountains.
