New redecorated house in quiet locaton with big garden, ideal for families

We had a lovely week! The house is in a lovely location - ideal for cycling - away from the busy crowds of the Bodensee area. The house was surface clean but there were a lot of cobwebs under the beds and behind furniture. The garden was a bit overgrown and needed some tending to, but it was space for the children to play and they enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend to families with young children or toddlers as there is a steep drop (overgrown with nettles and quite slippery) at the end of the garden directly behind the swing set (my 4 year old slipped backwards off the swing and nearly rolled down it). We also gave up on the football after the ball kept rolling down said slope resulting in a 3 man rescue operation each time! The drive is steep and gravelled (not tarmac as shown in the photos) but there is space at the bottom of the drive where you can more easily park a car. There is a large basement with easy access from both inside the house, and outside - perfect for storing bikes and a roof box! The washing machine and tumble dryer were in good working order but the dishwasher was a bit temperamental. The bathrooms were clean and the bath was big enough to fit all 3 of my children in together! Overall, we had a great week and the house was the perfect base for us. We could go cycling and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. There is a choice of supermarkets in the local town - you will need a car.
