Oceanfront Villa Caleton - Punta Espada Golf, Cap Cana, 10 pax

The property was beautiful. We enjoyed our visit. We however find the full time maid to be unnecessary and somewhat intrusive on our family time.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this villa! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and golf course. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the relaxing atmosphere. The villa’s proximity to the beach club and the use of two golf carts made our stay even better.While our experience was mostly positive, there were a few areas for improvement. We noticed some deferred maintenance, such as faucets and damaged chairs. We had high expectations for the chef based on reviews of neighboring villas, but unfortunately, this was not our experience. Our menus and shopping lists were not followed, and communication was difficult due to a language barrier. Despite using translation apps, allergies were not properly accommodated, and meals were often a surprise. While we appreciated the effort, the meals were prepared hours in advance, leading to overcooked food. Since the chef stays on-site, there were times we felt we were encroaching on his space and didn’t have full access to our food or snacks.The daily laundry service and cleaning were a big plus for our young family. The villa provides shampoo, conditioner, hairdryers, beach towels, and even a crib and highchair, which made packing easier.Despite these minor setbacks, the location and views were exceptional, and we made many wonderful memories.

First of all let me start off by saying that the location is great with Ocean view. And it’s very close to the Eden rock Beach club which is fantastic. Unfortunately week arrived when there was red seaweed and therefore the beach was in accessible. The house itself What is unique in that the living room dining room sitting room and kitchen are all in a giant Palapa which is open and not closed this is something that we did not recognize when we first reviewed the listing. Then there are four smaller Palapas where the bedrooms are at which are air-conditioned. However the main area is not air-conditioned. The property management company did not show us much upon our arrival did not give us much information nor where there Any type of book or information on emergency numbers where we could get a taxi groceries etc. we just were opened the door showing the house very quickly and that was it. We had requested privacy during our stay and every day a maid would show up and I would have to call the property owner to have her asked me to leave. And to top that off on our first day the neighbors next-door are doing major construction and I had to go next-door to ask them to stop working and try to get the property management to help but to no avail. Finally I lost it and had them bring the main engineer to my house and was able to get him to agree to stop his construction work for my eight day stay. The last thing we wanted was hearing them banging and using construction material during our quiet family vacation which was supposed to be relaxing. We asked for a personal chef to come in and cook for us one night some local Dominican cuisine which was very disappointing to say the least based on other past experiences in other Caribbean islands with private chefs. Other than those items the pool was great we were able to enjoy ourselves and as I mentioned earlier the location was perfect. There definitely are some things that need to be fixed around the house to make it perfect but overall I give this location three stars
