Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve
Nestled in the heart of the Russian River Valley, this 240 acre redwood grove offers both peaceful and serene walking and hiking trails throughout the reserve. The Parson Jones tree is the tallest at 310 feet and the Colonel Armstrong tree is the oldest at 1400 years old. Historical information is available at the visitor center with ample picnicking available amongst these majestic giants. Horseback riding is available through the Armstrong Woods Pack Station. Approx. 18 miles from the resort.

My daughter and grandsons had a wonderful time. The pool was a big hit. Got to get together with cousins from Danta Rosa.

I loved staying at this resort. In addition to it being the perfect location for our wine country trip it offered a heated pool and hot tub near our apartment. I believe the resort had at least one other pool and hot tub.
Only downside was the couch wasn't very comfortable.

We found the property to be very clean, well appointed, and tastefully decorated.
The beds were VERY comfortable, and the number of pillows was wonderful. We sat out by one of the small pools, having coffee in the morning, and enjoyed the beautiful foliage all around. The grounds were well maintained and clean.
We had trouble figuring out the thermostat, but a call to the front desk produced a maintenance man at the door within in 5-10 minutes. He explained the thermostat (it was a brand new one) and we had no other issues.
The only thing that I could suggest is that there was a binder of instructions for operating various appliances such as the VCR, how to purchase movies, the stereo unit, etc. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this location to everyone.!
