Detached house with several terraces and pool, close to the beach, free WLAN

We had a very nice stay in a well equipped and well maintained house. All necessary equipment is available for a one month vacation. The communication with the owner and the house manager was very good.

This is really homely villa with lovely large gardens and pool. We really liked the fact that you're not hemmed in or overlooked by anyone. The pool looks out over countryside which makes it feel really open. There are three bedrooms (FYI - access to one bedroom is via another) and all are comfortable. The bedrooms have air conditioning - the main lounge doesn't but with the fan on it remains cool. The BBQ area is great and we used that all the time. It's real outdoor living. It was also lovely looking after the resident cats. Communications with the owner and the local property manager was great - they were both very responsive. If you want a quiet, homely villa with a great pool and outdoor living - this place should be on your list.

We were so excited to stay at this beautiful home but we had some difficulties. The first issue came after we booked this property through VRBO the owner sent us a separate contract stating we owed an additional large sum of cash for a cleaning fee. I'm fine with paying a cleaning fee if I know about it in advance of booking and can plan it into the budget. We went ahead with the reservation anyways and paid the extra fee when we arrived. The house was as pretty as it looks in pictures but is a good 10 to 15 min drive from beaches and from town which didn't bother us too much as we were looking forward to relaxing at the property. My husband planned on getting some work done while we were there but the internet is so slow it was completely unusable. We couldn't even use it to research restaurants or things to do in the area it was sooooo slow. And our last issue was Mosquitos. They were miserable. We couldn't even go outside in the morning or evening to eat on the patio. We couldn't even open the windows to let any breeze in. Basically we were trapped inside and even then we all got eaten alive. We couldn't wait to leave. The first night my 10 year old son got over 150 bites. We had to take him to the doctor to get creams. When we showed the property manager he tried to tell us that he had chicken pox. Not sure what the owner can do about the bugs but just wanted to make other travelers aware as I would never stay here again.
