Romantic place to relax!

This island is a must visit and this resort is a great way to relax while there. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is so sweet. We had the pool to ourselves both days and enjoyed a walk to the sunset spot. The beach area is very chill as well. We had a garden room but wished we had paid the extra to have a room with a view. The food was also delicious and well priced!

A wonderful place to relax! An excellent starting point for island exploring

We had a wonderful stay at Purana Resort. First and foremost, the staff was amazing and friendly, and they did everything to make sure we were satisfied. There is a very calm atmosphere at the hotel, and it also offers excellent motorbikes rentals at a great price, allowing you to explore the island. We stayed in a beachfront room, although most of the time the tide is low and you can’t really swim at the beach, the view is simply beautiful with stunning sunsets. The breakfast was also very good

Sensational!!

Stayed in the Pool villa 1 absolutely sensational!! Amazing views and a great sized private pool. Villa was immaculate as were the staff they could not have been better. Restaurant was excellent and for a closed market very well priced. Used a scooter to explore the island which I would recommend as it is beautiful and easily arranged with the hotel. The hotel is in an isolated location but for us that added to the charm. Overall one of the best stays we have ever had and we are well travelled.

More variety on the restaurant menu.

Amazing stay with the most beautiful people

Everything. The sunsets, the spacious room, amazing breakfast with a breathtaking view, big swimming pool and renting scooter with the side car, which made it possible to explore the hidden gems of the island. But what makes this place truly special is the staff. They are the kindest, most helpful and caring people who go above and beyond to make sure the guest enjoy their stay. We loved Purana and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a home away from home surrounded by the natural beauty of the tropics.

Everything! The location by the beach, the staff that was so kind and caring, the comfort of the room and facilities, the kitchen that was delicious, the private beach and bar. I could have stayed the whole trip to Thailand at this hotel.

Incredible stay, in a magical location!

Everything was perfect. Villa 2 was breathtaking - the views were amazing and the large sunny pool provided the perfect place to unwind. The Bed was comfortable and having a small kitchen was also very helpful! The staff were without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Purana - the kindest, most accommodating people we have ever met. They could not do enough to help us! It's worth noting that the hotel is in a fairly secluded spot, however, the restaurant on site is wonderful, and furthermore the hotel provides bikes, scooters and a taxi service, meaning that it is easy to get around to wherever you want to go!.

A Wonderful Quality Resort Boutique Style Hotel

Loved this gorgeous boutique style hideaway Hotel. So much so that we have booked to go back again. So wonderful having a la carte breakfast 😋 as it makes one feel far more comfortable, rather than standing in line. Rooms so very comfortable. Views excellent Staff wonderful especially Nuzaiba as her English is very good. However ALL STAFF were great. Hiring a motorbike with a sidecar was SUCH FUN. A lovely place to stay. Lovely large swimming pool too.

Great breakfast, you can order whatever you want and they will cook for you. Kudos to the whole team, starting from manager to the cook. Once we asked to cook a sandwich, which was not on the menu, and they prepare absolutely gorgeous one! We also asked for salad for breakfast and they fulfilled our ask. Thank you! Although we had some questions about the room the management was very kind to resolve all our concerns. The place is very beautiful and peaceful. Keep in mind that you won't swim in the sea here, you would have to drive to other beach. You have swimming pools tho. If you would need a bike you can rent directly from the hotel. Also there's a shuttle taxi if you would need to go somewhere on the island. Highly recommend this place! We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Beware of ants! If you leave any food outside or inside they will come. You will have a spray to deal with them tho!

The pool villas had an exceptional water and island views. The hospitality team were so welcoming, kind, and friendly. The food was delicious. The cocktails were excellent and the accommodation was clean and comfortable.

Very peaceful and lovely hotel - would stay here again every time!

Had the most peaceful, tranquil stay at Purana. Our room was kindly upgraded due to there being some work near the one we had booked and the sea front villa made the stay, the view is incredible from the hotel and being so close to the sea was beautiful. The surroundings are picturesque- so many butterflies, lovely flowers and spotted several hornbills. Make sure you go to the viewpoint for a really wonderful view too. The pool area was incredibly quiet and surrounded by trees and foliage - there are a few loungers but enough for those that want to use it. Breakfast was delicious and so well organised each day. The room was spacious and very clean, loved the coffee capsules - a rare bonus in Thailand! The staff were amazing - could not do enough for us, very attentive and polite, organised and kind. Little touches meant a lot like the fact they always knew who we were and which room we were staying in without needing to repeat this. Bar on the beach is very handy, restaurant was good too, they are happy to deliver food and drinks to your room too. The hotel is a little way out from the "main" town but hotel provides taxi service and if you cycle or motorbike it's not an issue. Bicycles, mopeds, kayaks all available to rent directly from the hotel.

Perfect place!

It was fabulous! We stayed in Hilltop Villa 2 with an amazing view and great private pool. Everything was super clean and well maintained. Very comfortable beds. The food at the restaurant was also very good and the staff was lovely. We rented bikes one day to explore the island and wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely return.

This Resort was the best stay of my life. They arranged my taxi from the airport, my transfer boat to the island and a shuttle was waiting for me on my arrival. The staff did so much- I didn’t have to think. I just had to show up and they did EVERYTHING ELSE & they did it with 5 star service. I cannot recommend this Resort enough.

It’s a bit more effort to get to Koh Yao Noi, but the juice is worth the squeeze.

We stayed in Villa 1 and it was completely private and isolated with an amazing view. If you are looking to cut off from the world and relax it’s the best place. You can get breakfast even to your room daily. On the last day we had breakfast in the pool in floating baskets. I had read many reviews about it being the best place people had stayed. It ended up being the same for us. We extended our stay here.

You have to get a taxi to go anywhere even to 7/11 or for dinner so the cost can add up quickly.

Lovely breakfast and generous. Kind and gracious staff. Beautiful view. Appreciated the extra touches for my birthday as well as the logistics of picking me up at pier, organizing a private island tour for me, late (free) checkout) and organizing a taxi to bring me back from the pier. Smooth and easy -- I am grateful.

The hotel stay was perfect. The private island tour with "Rocky" -- organized by hotel -- was fun and a good value. What I didn't like? The town itself is ridiculously overpriced. Like, crazy. Dresses that sell for 400 baht in Kamala (Phuket) were being sold for 1000 baht in the downtown tourist trap area!?! Exact same dress.

Beautiful stay in Ko Yao Noi

The staff was amazing and were so sweet and accommodating. The property is beautiful, nice clean rooms, and the pool area is beautiful with an amazing view and was so peaceful and quiet. We also saw the monkeys and so many butterflies while sitting outside our villa. Recommend watching the sunset at the beach. The food at the restaurant was also excellent, we ate there all 3 nights.

Only small issues was the safe in our room didn't work, even after being reset and getting instructions from the technician, we could not override with our own code and the alarm would go off when we tried to set it up. An in room instruction card on the safe would be helpful. Our breakfast orders got mixed up twice from the paper and electronic submissions and we ended up with too much food!! Better than going hungry but recommend confirming the order at the table to avoid that happening.

Our stay at Purana was utterly sublime!!! We would go back there in a heartbeat! The highlights were: Friendly, attentive, caring staff who made us feel at home Fresh and delicious food at the hotel restaurant - we enjoyed every single breakfast and dinner they served Incredible villa with an infinity pool and a breathtaking view of the islands Comfortable bed, the whole space was well decorated and equipped Chattering birds and monkeys in the tropical forest, a very nice sound to wake and fall asleep to. The property is so well maintained Bikes and scooters for rent to go to the nearby villages and beaches on the island

I can't think of a single thing that we didn't like. This hotel is sensational. Visitors looking to be within walking distance of the main tourist beach strip on Koh Yao Noi (i.e. Pasai Beach) will find Purana to be on the more remote side of the island. You need a bike, scooter or taxi to go to the more central parts of the island. We preferred this setup, but some people might not.

Calm, relaxing holiday

The booking was uncomplicated, the free transfer to the pier was nice! Greeted by welcoming staff we stayed at this nicely in a calm, therefore little remote, area situated hotel. We enjoyed the view (a lovely sunset) from our bed/ pool and slept with the lovely sound of the surrounding nature. Sumai gave us quite some good advice about the Island and travel arround. The hotel-scooter we rented worked just fine (it is a serpentigious street to the hotel, you might need some level of experience). The dinner was tasty and authentic thai cuisine. Purana really made our honeymoon memorable. Till next time..
