About this apartment rental
Our cosily furnished house for self-caterers is located in the middle of the village on a cliff and stretches out over two floors. It offers a lot of air and light and typical Mediterranean flair, the ideal holiday quarters for a relaxing holiday during all seasons with family or friends. The apartment is located directly in the city, stretches out over two floors (below: living room/kitchen, above: two bedrooms + bathroom), a terrace from which you can see the sea/harbour and a balcony facing the street. One of the bedrooms (the former child's room) is a passage room, small (with roof window) and with a bunk bed, the other is spacious and has two windows facing the sea. In the living room you will find a sofa bed so that a maximum of six people can spend the night in the house. Bedsheets and kitchen towels also belong to the equipment, just like a fully-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, also an iron, high chair, crib, satellite TV; CD player
Surroundings: Archaeological park, beach, bars and restaurants and shopping facilities nearby. Distance to beach: 100 m;
1 bedroom w/double bed, 1 living room with sofa bed, 1 room with bunk beds.
Seasonal highlights: The village is inhabited by fishers throughout the year and is lively year-round, in July/August, there are a lot of local summer guests as well, thus, you can expect a lively, turbulent atmosphere during both summer months. This includes, for example, a row of concerts/plays in front of the temples in the archaeological park or the Madonna-Festival of the fishers of Marinella, where in the 2nd half of august the Marien statue is carried out on sea in the decorated and illuminated fishing boats and at the end, there is a large firework show above the docks and harbour turns the night into day (very good to experience from the terrace of the Casa Giglio.. :)
From September to June, Selinunte is the ideal place to rest and relax in close contact with nature
Special service: If needed, we can pick our guests up from the airport and help organise excursions in the surrounding area or we can help you with the planning of your travels within Sicily.
From the beginning of March to the end of October, our beach bar (Lido Zabbara, on the beach, which borders the archaeological park) is open, there you can find loungers and sun umbrellas with a cold buffet and (if available) fresh fish and during the summer, climbing toys for the children...
From the Casa Giglio to Lido Zabbara it is about a 10 minute walk

We stayed at Helga an Jojo's appartement for 10 days an it was Incredible. Not only the apartment was lovely, clean and beautifully arranged (there was even the olive oil and a bottle of gorgeous Sicilian white wine in the fridge) but also the hosts are the most lovely people. Imagine , Helga went to pick us up at the gas station, when we missed the bus and felt lost. Helga and Jojo are running a fish restaurant on the beach, where we enjoyed some fresh grilled fish. Also, there's an absolutely incredible archeological parc with ancient Greek temples in just 10 min walk, where we went twice: for a normal day visit and for a night jazz concert ( advised by Helga, of course!).
We are very happy to discover Sicily and are looking forward to come back again.
P.s. It might be a bit noisy at night due to the music at the restaurants in the port, but the est plugs did their job well.

Helga great chaperone, her house in the very center of beautiful Selinunte, few steps from the beach anche the ancient seafood morning bid. She also has a fish restaurant not to be missed.
Only cons, night piano-bar at the seaside you "enjoy" from your bedroom till 1.

Liebe Helga, vielen Dank für eine wunderbare Woche in Deiner Wohnung. Es fühlte sich an wie zu Hause. Der Blick auf den beschaulichen Ort, auf den Hafen und aufs Meer ist großartig - sowohl am Morgen zum Sonnenaufgang als auch zum Sonnenuntergang. Und im Schlafzimmer kann man bestens zum Meeresrauschen einschlafen. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und noch mehr, so dass man sich gleich wohl fühlt.
Du bist eine wunderbare Vermieterin und wir kommen gerne wieder.
