Villa ‘Latitude 9’ is located in the most prestigious and peaceful area of Koh Samui: Plai Laem, which is situated in the north-eastern part of the island. The villa is CLOSE TO 3 BEACHES, Samrong Bay Beach (or Secret Beach) is only 200 m walk from the villa. The airport is a 10 minute drive from the villa.
The villa enjoys panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand and the neighboring islands of Koh Som, Koh Phangan, Angthong Marine Park and is located next to the famous Sixth Senses Luxury Resort.
The villa has a SPACIOUS OUTDOOR PATIO AREA including a seating area, a dining area for 6 guests, a sun deck for 4 sun loungers (*sun deck is sunny all day long) and an extra BIGGER SIZE POOL, measuring 32 sqm. The outdoor area is protected with glass railing all around, so it's very safe for children.
2-storey, 280 square meters villa is beautifully designed and decorated in a contemporary style. It has 3 bedrooms with ensuite bedrooms plus an extra bathroom with shower on the ground floor. It offers a relaxed and comfortable stay with all the amenities - it is the perfect get away for those looking to relax and unwind in a stylish environment.
The ground floor is spacious and includes the lounge, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen comes fully equipped and can comfortably seat up to six people at the breakfast bar. Through the large sliding glass doors from the living room, there’s a patio with a dining table, bar and beautiful infinity pool where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views and sunsets. The infinity pool tiles were specially imported from Bali.
The free of charge IP-TV has over 1270 movies, which are updated weekly, over 330 TV channels, more than 160 Documentaries and 165 TV shows. 62 radio channels are also available, free. If you want to listen to your favorite music you can connect your iPod/iPhone to the TV/Music system and enjoy listening through a high quality sound system both in and outdoors. Everything has been designed to make your stay easy and relaxing.
On the upper floor there are three bedrooms. The master and second bedrooms have king size double beds and the third - a queen size bed. Each bedroom has a private bathroom with a shower "tropical rain”. The master bedroom has views of the coastline that few villas can match and enjoys a large balcony with seating. It also has TV with the same channels and movies as downstairs. The en-suite bathroom caters to those that like to either shower or relax in a bath.
The villa is in a community with 24 hour security and the villa manager provides cleaning services, garbage collection, pool maintenance and general maintenance.
Upon request, holiday guests can invite a Thai chef and/or a nanny for the children, as well as arrange a massage or spa.

- Electricity will be charged extra upon usage, 7 baht kilowatt/hr. This is common practice in Thailand. Please respect the environment, do not leave lights and air-conditioning on needlessly.
- No SMOKING INDOOR! Smoking allowed only outdoor in the patio/garden area. THE DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED IF FOUND SMOKING WITHIN THE VILLA!
- No loud music or partying after 10pm indoor and outdoor. Please be respectful of neighbors, some whom live here full time.

The Villa is in the northern part of the island and only 10 minutes from the 2 tour companies that can take you on day boat trips to Augthong and Koh Tao. The beach is a bit of a hike downhill and not wonderful. Getting directions to the unit was a challenge because the English manager won’t use any cell phone app and his Thai assistant didn’t know the Google Maps address which is “Villa Latitude 9” but one street down hill from that pin. Air conditioning is extra. We only used it in one bedroom at night and it’s was 750 Baht for 5 nights. Pool is unheated but I didn’t mind that. Pots and pans could be improved. Not many cooking kitchen basic things like coffee, oil etc so you’ll have to pick those up. We shopped at Central about 20 minutes south.

It was absolutely beautiful, the property and the views. The home is nicely decorated, every thing we needed was there. We enjoyed our stay there, my only complaint was that the hot water did not work for the first few days and we called the manager and it was fixed. I did not mind the water issue it was so hot!!! but others minded. You will definitely need a car to go to the stores not walkable because the transportation options are expensive for Thailand.
The beach is closely but you will have to climb a steep hill back to the villa, very beautiful peaceful beach.
Overall, nice villa, will return when in the area in the future.

We may well have been the unluckiest guests staying at this beautiful property. Its location and general description are as described - so no issue there. However during our visit we were beset with a number of issues. Whilst all of these were dealt with reasonably promptly they nonetheless impaired our enjoyment. Firstly Koh Samui is currently suffering daily power shortages and the load shedding occurs abruptly and has no set time. On our arrival we were advised of this and told it would happen daily. As you can imagine this threw our schedule into disarray as we could not with any certainty engage in any light cooking or take showers or enjoy the property which is reliant on AC in the hot weather. We then had an ant infestation and plumbing issues. All of this invariably made this difficult for us. I managed to negotiate a 50 per cent reduction in the energy bill you are asked to pay at the end of your stay. I was however annoyed that Blanka did not respond to my email on this discussion and was left to negotiate this with Roger locally. As he had a £400 cash deposit of mine I would have preferred her to have dealt with this directly with me. In the end we enjoyed Koh Samui but the deficiencies in the property during our visit made it difficult to keep everyone's tempers under control. Until the power issues are sorted the property should be priced to reflect this major downside. .
