bright penthouse in a quiet street with tall trees in the City of the lively and historicaly important city of Mainz. The aprtment is close to the river rhine, to the historical cathedral abd to the central railwaystation. From the two terrasses you have a wonderful view on the mountains of Taunus and the Christuschurch. It is a good place to visit the famous Rhinevally, the wine villages of Rheingau and Rheinhessen, the famous Mainz carnival, its markets and squares and historical center with the cathedral. This is such a beautiful, spacious, clean and quiet apartment with balconies just about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the train station. It is on the fourth floor but there is an elevator in a quiet residential neighborhood but in walking distance to cafés, stores, etc. We loved everything about the apartment and the bed was so comfortable!The only thing that was a little difficult is we are English speaking only and everything online was in English but when we arrived we were given the name and number of the woman to call on site, a lovely, friendly woman but she only spoke German which would've been a big problem except our German friend was with us when I called and was able to go to the apartment with us to get all the instructions and get the keys from her. I was never told that there would not be someone who spoke English or asked if I spoke German so that should be made clear. She also said that she usually is given a notice two days before the arrival and I had not received anything until I reached out that morning to get instructions for how to access the place so somehow that fell through the cracks. Wonderful place but the communication could've been better, especially if one doesn't speak German.

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment. There’s a grocery store right around the corner so it was easy to pick up food to cook in the apartment the apartment had all the cooking items that you would need. It was very clean, bright and very quiet. Walking distance to downtown was easy and there’s cafés that you can walk to. Short walk from train station if you’re getting there by train.

This apartment was wonderful; location, decoration, comfort, cleanliness. Communication with host was poor. After not receiving an email with info for check-in/access to apartment I sent three emails starting the day before arrival with no response. Finally connected with help of VRBO support; host said he was on holiday and couldn't be checking emails from guests. Eventually received a warm welcome from Mrs. Cezanne. After 25 to 26 VRBO rentals over about 20 years, I have never had this experience before; have never needed to reach out to VRBO support for anything. Dissatisfaction with host communication only.

Our stay at this apartment in Mainz was perfect. The apartment was sparkling clean-this was a standout for us. The apartment is not only very secure, it can also be accessed by a lift. This was essential for us as we are travelling with heavy suitcases. The apartment is perfectly located to everything one requires when staying in Mainz.

It was a nice clean apartment with good communication and smooth check-in, convenient to tourist sites in Mainz. The apartment was quite warm during the hot summer weather of our stay. Parking was listed as an amenity but the apartment did not come with parking. Parking was at a public garage about a 7 minute walk from the apartment.

This apartment was exactly what I was looking for. It’s in a vibrant but quiet neighborhood of Mainz just a 10 minute walk to the Hbf. Restaurants, grocers, landmarks and parks all nearby. The apartment itself is large, clean and roomy with a fully furnished kitchen. I loved sitting on the balconies with coffee or a beer. Even the view out the kitchen window is lovely. The property manager was very helpful and friendly. I strongly recommend this rental. In fact, I hope to return if I get back to Mainz.

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood a nine or ten minute walk from the train station. A supermarket is a about three blocks away making grocery shopping very easy. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our five day stay

A wonderful place to stay in Mainz. A great location, walking distance to the train station, city centre and river. Supermarket close by and plenty of cafes. The apartment is super clean, spacious, light and airy. Mattresses were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Mrs Cezanne was welcoming and helpful and the owner answered all enquiries promptly. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is very comfortable. It is in a superb location, and has every comfort that anyone staying there would need. The apartment is bright and airy. It is spotlessly clean and all a traveller's needs are covered. We had a wonderful welcome from Frau Cezanne, who was extremely warm and helpful. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Mainz.

The apartment, on the fourth floor (with lift) was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for cooking at home, which we like to do. There's a washer, a modern shower but no dishwasher, which was not an issue. We especially loved the terrace overlooking the tree-lined street. The apartment is in a quieter part of Mainz but still within 10 minutes' walk of the station, the old town and the river, which has lovely promenades for walking and sitting. You can take a day-long or half-day cruise up the Rhine to Boppard from the town center. Mainz is what I call a perfect size town: plenty to do, easily walkable, lots of restaurants and shops yet without major motorways running through. From the station you can travel extensively. Frau Cezanne was lovely and very helpful, bringing fresh towels halfway through our 8-day stay.

What can we not say about this wonderful apartment. Mr Eich and Frau Cezanne were unbelievable. So helpful and courteous and Cezanne with her delightful sense of humour which we could actually understand!. The apartment is just as in the photos and has to be the best we have ever stayed in in Europe. So close to everything and all in walking distance. Supermarkets and restaurants all nearby. Mainz is a small town but for the week we were there had plenty to do. In fact so much to do that we didn't even get into Frankfurt which was on our list. Only thing that was a small problem was the hand-held shower in the bath, but believe this is being fixed. Also no wifi, but just around the corner is a little shop where you could log in for 1 euro an hour..... no problem. We would certainly recommend the apartment to all our friends. Just hope that one day we will be able to get back there was so relaxing.

My daughter and I stayed at the apartment from March 31st thru April 4th and had a wonderful time. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable and had everything you needed. The location was ideal and was within walking distance to the center and also grocery shopping. Frau Cezanne was very charming and even though we did not speak German, we were able to communicate with her and also Hans Peter was also available to answer any of our questions. This was a wonderful apartment to stay in - spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with everything you need. It was spacious and bright with two lovely balconies on which to enjoy a glass of wine whilst admiring the view and the trees (the flat is at the top of the 4 storey block of flats and has a lift if needed). It was ideal for my husband and I as we drove to Mainz and could park the car nearby for free. It is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Mainz. A supermarket is just around the corner. Frau Cezanne, who looked after us was extremely kind and helpful. We couldn't think of a better place to stay in Mainz and we would definitely return..

Die Lage der Wohnung ist perfekt und lädt ein, am Lebensgefühl der Mainzer Neustadt teilzuhaben. An jeder Ecke eine kleine Kneipe, Bistro oder was man zum Leben braucht. Nur wenige Gehminuten zum Rhein, die Altstadt Mainz ist gut zu erreichen zu Fuß, mit Bus oder Fahrrad. Die Wohnung ist wirklich lichtdurchflutet und die beiden möblierten Balkone sind einfach klasse. Eine perfekt ausgestatte Wohnung mit einer super Aufenthaltsqualität. Die sichere Abstellmöglichkeit unserer Fahrräder hat ebenfalls für einen entspannten Aufenthalt gesorgt. Wir hatten eine sehr nette Dame als Ansprechpartnerin. Alles in allem - besser geht es nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben eine schöne Zeit in Mainz verbracht. Nach anstrengenden Tagen bei der Erkundung von Mainz und Umgebung konnten wir uns in der schönen hellen Ferienwohnung entspannen und uns wie zu Hause fühlen. Es war alles da, was man braucht. Die Betten waren auch sehr bequem. Um einen Stadtbummel in Mainz zu machen, konnte man das Auto stehen lassen, in 10 Minuten Fußweg war man am Dom. Der Vermieter selbst wohnt nicht dort, ich hatte aber wegen einer Rückfrage telefonischen Kontakt - er ist sehr nett. Die Wohnung wird von einer Frau aus dem Haus betreut, sie war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und stets bemüht, alle unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Die Ferienwohnung können wir weiterempfehlen

Tja. Städtische Vermietung geht anders. Schon beim Anruf vorher mussten wir erfahren, dass eine Anreise nach 21 Uhr definitiv undenkbar ist, weil das Schlafenszeit ist. Und dass natürlich der Schlüssel keinesfalls irgendwo deponiert werden kann. Und dass es auch keinen Zahlentresor gibt. Das gleiche dann noch mal, als wir um kurz nach elf eintrafen... Die Wohnung selbst ist blitzblank, es ist alles da, was man braucht, bis zur Mikrowelle - bis auf eine Spülmaschine. Omas Möbel stehen noch drin, einschließlich Blumenbänkchen im Schlafzimmer. Wer es besonders mag, findet Großvaters Taschenuhr aus dem 19. Jhdt. im Wohnzimmer an der Wand, sicherlich sehr wertvoll; ebenso wie Großmutters Silberbesteck... Wir werden nächstes Mal ein Hotel nehmen.

Die Küche bietet alle benötigten Utensilien nebst einer Essecke. Alles in Allem ein rundum gelungenes Arrangement ... nur ca. 300m vom Rheinufer entfernt. (Anm: zwar 6. Etage, aber Lift vorhanden ... Parken nur an der Straße, aber nach 19 Uhr problemlos möglich)

Wir haben fast vier Wochen in dieser hübschen Wohnung verbracht und uns dabei rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist perfekt - in 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß am Bahnhof oder in der Innenstadt, außerdem ist 100 m vom Haus entfernt eine Bushaltestelle. Obwohl die Wohnung sehr zentral an einer recht befahrenen Straße liegt, bekommt man davon in der 6. Etage kaum etwas mit; die hohen Platanen, die die Straße säumen, schlucken sehr viel Schall. Die beiden Balkone sind einfach herrlich, man sitzt praktisch in den Baumkronen. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet, die Betten sind super, es fehlt an nichts (außer an einer Knoblauchpresse für Knobi-Junkies ;-) Frau C., die im Haus wohnt und die Wohnung betreut, ist sehr aufmerksam und stets bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Fazit: bestens zu empfehlen! Wir kommen ganz sicher im nächsten Jahr wieder.

Wirklich eine empfehlenswerte Bleibe. Super gelegen, schöne Balkone nach Osten (wir konnten jeden Tag bei Sonnenschein unser Frühstück genießen). Die Küche ist mit allen Geräten ausgestattet, die man so braucht, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Frau Cezanne hat sich ganz lieb gekümmert - wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Mein Mann und ich haben ende august eine woche im apartment in mainz verbracht. sehr freundlich empfangen und mit der wohnung vertraut gemacht wurden wir aber nicht vom vermieter persönlich, sondern von einer dame, die auch im haus wohnt und sich um die wohnung kümmert.die wohnung war sehr sauber und gepflegt und wir fühlten uns gleich zuhause, da die einrichtung nicht nur zweckmäßig sondern persönlich ist und wir das gefühl hatten in eine bewohnte wohnung zu kommen. viele pflanzen, schöne bilder, bequeme möbel und eine nahezu komplette einrichtung empfingen uns. besonders schön waren die beiden kleinen balkone, die wir täglich für unsere mahlzeiten genutzt haben. die wohnung ist so zentral gelegen, dass man leicht zu fuß sowohl die innenstadt als auch die rheinpromenade erreichen kann. wir haben sehr schöne tage in mainz genossen.

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön, geräumig, toll ausgestattet und sehr sauber! Die Lage ist perfekt, da sie sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig liegt. Die Dame, die vor Ort die wohnung betreut,ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben eine tolle Woche dort verlebt und kommen gerne wieder!
