Excellent place to stay at clean and well equipped and the hosts are awesome. This is the second time we have stayed here if you are wanting a country setting this is the place. You can get eggs and milk from them. Elizabeth is a great host she is very nice and friendly. Communication is really good

The location is stunning. The Rebers are friendly and gracious. The driveway is about 1.5 miles up the mountain on a small perfectly maintained road. This brings you to a beautiful old Swiss farm house withe milking barn under the same food. Fritz was kind enough to let me participate in the milking. We loved every minute of our stay and we're sorry when it came time to leave. I cannot say enough good about the experience and the Revers

This beautiful setting was an incredible introduction on our Switzerland journey. The house was lots of room for 4 adults, all the amenities we needed ++, spotlessly clean, and close to sightseeing cities and highlights. The beds were high quality and so comfy. The house is decorated with special touches all through the house. Although we could have all been happy staying at Elizabeth's place forever! A busy farm with stunning views and it was easy to find. Elizabeth was so welcoming and we communicated easily together. Next time I would stay longer - we stayed 3 nights. Thank you Elizabeth for hosting my family. ❤

My wife and I spent 9 nights here and were both sad to leave. It was the most beautiful and relaxing place we have ever been. The host’s are incredible friendly. The area around their farm is just spectacular to just take a quiet evening stroll and listen to the birds singing and the bells from the cows. If you want an incredible Swiss experience in the countryside look no further than this beautiful place.

If you are looking for a restful place in the mountains, this is the place. However, you will need a car to get to it. It is a working farm with other places quite far away. Very peaceful. The hostess is so sweet and accommodating! I even asked if I could buy some cream for my strawberries and she just gave me a new carton. We loved this place. Kitchen has everything except a microwave. Also has a washer that we needed. We had a wonderful stay!!

This property was great! We spent a week in Switzerland and used this as our "home base" for our day trips. The drive is kind of far from anywhere but we knew that when booking. Elizabeth and Fritz were so kind to our kids who loved walking the cows up the mountain with them in the evening, playing with Luna and just being outside getting fresh air! The home was so spacious and perfect. We got groceries and had a lot of dinners and breakfast in so the full kitchen was wonderful!

Our stay here was awesome the farm house is a great place to stay we had parking for our rental car and had no problems coming and going whenever we wanted to. The location and surrounding area is beautiful you could spend alot time just in that area. We did day trips to thun, lucerne, interlaken and more just to name a few. Elisabeth was a great host as well as her husband they really have a nice set up there and are more than happy to help in anyway. This is a perfect place to stay for a couple or a family the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. dont miss out on this farmhouse it was the best!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay in Trub! The farmhouse had everything we needed. Elisabeth and Fritz were kind, friendly, and gracious hosts. We got to see their cows and play with their dog, Luna. The views were breathtaking! There is a grocery store in town which made picking up food for breakfast and dinner convenient. We would highly recommend this farmhouse for your family. It was an amazing experience!

I highly recommend, its in a stunning location and the accommodation is great with everything you need already there. Its on a farm with cows and a lovely dog! Elizabeth was very helpful and friendly and we hope to return.

So how about this for a surprise! Just outside of Trub we left the road and had to drive past some gates to find ourselves on a paved road going uphill for about 2 kilometers. But once we were on top we had the most beautifull view you can imagine. And right away we were welcomed by the hostes which was just an addition to the already nice surpise. The house was big enough although the upper floor was slightly to low for my 1.87 meter length. In the room you can find anything you need, even tourism maps which were left behind by others. One thing which I can advise is to use the laminated hiking routes to get around and see the area. This way we also got in contact with the neighbour farmers and all of them were friendly and open for a chat. So anywhere we went, we never had the feeling of unwelcome. So if you have a chance, want to enjoy the piece and quietness and do not mind driving a farmers road uphill, please do yourself a favor and go here for a change.

I recently stay at this apartment and it was great. Elisabeth and her husband were great. They speak very little English, but we managed. I stayed with a friend of mine and her 4 year old son. The place was clean and spacious. We were able to purchase fresh eggs and milk from Elisabeth. It is outside of town, you need a car, but what a peaceful place to stay. Coffee outside with the incredible view to look at is worth it! Easy drive to Lucerne and Interlaken for day trips.

We had a lovely holiday the apartment had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and beautiful perfect week Elisabeth and Fritz were wonderful kind and friendly and their lovely puppy Luna got so excited to see us. My children and I very much enjoyed our stay in this unique location. We were able to buy fresh eggs and milk from our hosts, and we enjoyed this remote setting in the hills of the Alps. We visited both Lucerne and Interlaken and journey to the summit of both Jungfraujoch and Pilatus. Wonderful location! Extremely gracious hosts. Car is essential.

Unter Altosch was the perfect place to enjoy rural Switzerland - and made the best memories for our very first visit to Switzerland. Fritz and Elizabeth Reber were so welcoming and we loved the quiet location. The views of the surrounding farms and hills and mountains were so beautiful. Their new puppy Luna greeted us every morning - a fun way to start the day. We enjoyed watching the routines of farm chores - milking the cows, feeding the cows, goats and chickens, and collecting eggs. And the fresh cold milk from their cows was absolutely delicious. Our one week stay went by too quickly but we left relaxed and blessed by this quaint home and lovely couple.

This was our first stop of our two week stay in Europe in celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary. My husband and I, and our two children, had a wonderful time spending four nights here. Elisabeth and Fritz are warm, welcoming hosts (the Kambly cookies left on our pillows made us all smile!), allowing us all to watch as they work the farm. They even allowed our littlest one to help feed the hens. Their eggs were delicious and fueled us for the wonderful hike we took, right from the farm, to the soundtrack of cowbells. The apartment was perfect for us. We had plenty of space to relax, eat together, and sleep soundly. It was great to have a kitchen and washing machine. The farm, high in the hills, is stunning, and surrounded by the beauty of the Alps. We ate at a terrific restaurant in Trub, twice, because it was so delicious - Landgasthof Sternen. We took one trip to Interlaken, which was beautiful, and visited St. Beatus Caves, legend says it was a dragon's lair. We were going to do another roadtrip to Lucerne, but the farm and its surroundings were too beautiful, so we hiked and enjoyed the farm and the company of its wonderful owners and animals. We also stopped at the Kambly factory for some dessert and gifts/treats to go! We were all sad to leave the farm. I highly recommend a nice, long stay at the farm.

This was our second time visiting the farm. Yet again we had a super time with our two young children. They loved helping with the cows, feeding the chickens, collecting the eggs and looking after the goats. We went on lovely hikes and visited a local cheese factory. We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It's beautifully situated in the Swiss countryside, away from the usual tourist paths. It's close enough to many of central Switzerland's attractions, like Titlis and Bern, to make for easy day trips. Take time to feed the goats or walk along the pasture land - it's really quite enchanting. The apartment was homey and comfortable with modern fixtures, a nice kitchen, a comfortable bed, and lots of room. The house really is as beautiful as the pictures!! We would absolutely stay here again!

I would certainly choose this excellent place next time I want to stay in rural Switzerland. We stayed a little over a week. 1. Quite - very quite place, only nature sounds like wind. 2. View - Spectacular. The mountains with snow and forests during the day, the milky way during at night. 3. Oneness with the nature - plethora of cats, cows, dogs, chickens guaranteed. 4. Furnishing - there is everything, including utensils 5. The Internet - works 6. TV - 50 German, 1 news in English, Eurosport - yes 7. Hot water - yes, with a roomy shower stall 8. Washing machine - yes, in German 9. Position - Bern 50 min, Lucerne 50 min, supermarket COOP 15 min (driving) Have a good weekend!

We spent two weeks here and it was a wonderful experience. The Emmental is beautiful and the farm is near to Bern, Jungfrau, Interlaken, Lucerne for day trips but far enough to be out of the tourist path. We felt like we were seeing the real Switzerland dairy farming, self-sustaining lifestyle. It was so fun to see the way farming happens in the Emmental, walk through forests and fields on beautiful paths, get to know our wonderful hosts, and sleep like babies on comfy beds. The apartment had everything we needed for cooking, and even fresh eggs and milk for us to buy right there from our organic farmer. Trub itself is an adorable village steeped in history, a spot from which some of the PA Amish immigrated. We had one thunderstorm, which was a treat, otherwise warm sunny days. Would definitely return and recommend this lodging to nature loving people.

My family stayed here for two nights just a few days ago. The photos are accurate but don't convey the sense of peace as you enter. A few comments; The farmhouse is near the top of a very small winding road we had some trouble locating it. The owners are friendly but not intrusive, they have work to do. A little knowledge of German would be helpful. This is a working farm with cows and chickens so expect the associated farm smells when you move about. The apartment features lots of nice woodwork and has a well-equipped kitchen. Everything appeared to be new so we were perhaps the first guests. There are two bedrooms upstairs, each contain two beds and the rooms are interconnected. It might be a difficult climb up for someone elderly or disabled. There is a good internet connection but it seems a waste with the view. Make sure to go out at night and look at the stars, there is no light pollution so the Milky Way is is obvious. I would highly recommend and hope we can return another time.

Wir haben die Tage bei unseren sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern auf dem Hof in Unter Altösch sehr genossen. Die Ferienwohnung ist liebevoll und vollständig eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts, was ein Schweizer Haushalt haben muss: Käsefonduestopf, Raclettegerät etc. Milch und Eier können vom Bio-Hof bezogen werden. Das Emmental läd zu kleinen und großen Wanderungen ein. Von den Gastgebern kann man vieles über das Emmental und die Landwirtschaft in der Schweiz erfahren. Sie nehmen sich Zeit für ein Gespräch.

Ich habe die Zeit in der Fewo sehr genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und angenehm.Alles war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. ( nur eine automatische Kaffeemaschine hat mir etwas gefehlt) Die Whg ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Super schöne Aussicht und Ruhe. Ein toller Schneeschuhtrail verläuft direkt beim Haus. Für einige Tage in der Ruhe und in der Natur sehr zu empfehlen.

Die Fewo liegt auf dem Berg in einem kleinen Bauernhaus. Morgens wacht man mit einem Blick über die Schweizer Alpen auf. Die Einrichtung ist gepflegt und verleiht dem Ambiente gemütlichen Charme. Ausreichend Geschirr ist vorhanden. Es mangelt an nichts. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Von den tierischen Nachbarn bekommt man in der Fewo nichts mit, es sei denn, man bezieht vom Hof frische Milch und Eier - absolut ein Muss. Es schmeckt hervorragend. Die Vermieter sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wie können diese Fewo ruhigens Gewissens absolut weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen selbst gerne wieder.
