Old spacious village house full of sunlight, wide views of the Luberon

This is a clean and comfortable country-style home in a quiet, safe location a very short walk to amenities (chemist, boulangerie, convenience store, butcher, restaurants, weekly market 50 metres away). There is plenty of free parking a very short walk to the front door. We deeply appreciated the kindness and generosity of our hosts Elizabeth and Jurgen who met us for check-in and after that were responsive to our every need, going beyond the call of duty to ensure that we were happy. We had friends and family come to stay with us over the duration of our stay and with its multi-level design the home is very suitable for that purpose. Anyone with mobility problems should be aware some of the stairs can be uneven and slippery until you become used to them and care should be taken.Also be aware that many restaurants, tourist attractions and shops in this and nearby villages are closed or have severely reduced opening hours from November. St Saturnin Les Apt is a quiet, charming village with many lovely walks around it was ideally situated as a base for us to explore the stunning Luberon region. Before things close for the winter there is an enormous number of activities to do to explore the nearby villages and outdoor attractions.

The house was truly amazing filled with traditional French pieces with much thought to make guests feel totally at ease. The hosts, Elizabeth and Jürgen were extremely welcoming and helpful with all their suggestions. We highly recommend this property

We loved our 3-week stay in this wonderful house. The bed was comfortable, we slept well. The dining room table was our “Command Central” where we mapped and planned our day’s adventures over breakfast with fresh crescents from the Pâtisserie at the end of the block. My two favorite rooms in the house were the spacious red bathroom with the clawfoot tub (which became mine), and then especially, the beautiful, inviting upstairs living room. We opened the big windows, pulled two chairs over in front of them and shared wine, bread, and cheese while taking in the pastoral view across the rooftops. It was incredibly relaxing. The 4 restaurants we ate at and a small but well stocked grocery store were just steps from our door. We so enjoyed exploring the Luberon from our place in Saint Saturnin Les Apt that we will be returning again next year. Last, but not least, Elizabeth and Jurgen are truly Super Hosts. They care about their guests and go to great lengths to be helpful. Getting to know them was a highlight of our stay.

Spent a week here, perfect for day trips, wonderful view from the top floor, and good local shops for the necessities. The owners were very friendly and very helpful, we may very much return!
