About this cottage rental
The 4-star (DTV) apartment is located in the historic 2-column Heuerhaus with a large living room with exposed frame and antique fireplace in an idyllic outdoor location.
The fireplace may not be used at the moment.
Children up to 16 years are free.
The living area with kitchenette and guest toilet of the apartment is on the ground floor with a view of the cottage garden.
The sleeping area with bathroom is on the upper floor with a view of the cottage garden and the rhododendron garden.
The front living / bedroom is a passage room to the bathroom and bedroom.
There are connecting doors to the garden view apartment so that the two apartments can be booked as a unit if required.
The apartments must then be booked individually.
Property surrounded by characterful deciduous trees in a quiet location.
a blossom paradise, especially due to the old valuable rhododendron population.
20 valuable sequoias border the garden to the west.
On the garden property with an idyllic cottage garden are the bungalow with extension.
A former Heuerhaus, historical carriage house (formerly Peat shed), well, bakery.
Sauna and heated swimming pool with salt water electrolysis,
with renewable energies - environmentally friendly heat pump and PV system- operated (due to service work only in operation again from mid / end of September 2017).

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Kaminzimmer sehr genossen. Die Webseite ist hier nicht aktuell und wir durften den Kamin sehr wohl benutzen, es gab auch stets genügend Holz für den gesamten Aufenthalt.
Der untere Bereich ist sehr rustikal und dank des Kamins und eines sehr bequemen Sofas auch sehr gemütlich. Der obere Bereich ist hell, freundlich und modern eingerichtet. Dank bereitgestellter Bettwäsche und Handtücher brauchten wir nicht viel Extragepäck.
Als Wermutstropfen muss man leider sagen, dass die Wohnung sehr hellhörig ist, so dass man die Nachbarn im Zimmer nebenan reden und fernsehen hören kann.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten einen defekten Wasserkocher, der aber umgehend ausgetauscht wurde.
Insgesamt war es ein sehr entspannter und gemütlicher Urlaub

Diese sehr ruhige, schöne und komplett ausgestattete Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einem außergewöhnlichen "klassischen" Ammerland-Haus, in welchem wir unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genossen haben. Nach der unkomplizierten Übergabe durch den freundlichen Vermieter und den notwendigen Besorgungen im nahegelegenen Westerstede haben wir das Ammerland und Ostfriesland erkundet. Auch Freunde des Drahtesels kommen in dieser Gegend zum Zuge. Wem der Sinn nach deftiger Ammerländer Küche steht, dem seien der Fährkroog (Dreibergen) und der Spieker (Bad Zwischenahn) empfohlen.

Das Objekt liegt an einer einspurigen Fahrbahn auf der nach dem Passieren des grünen Ortsschildes 70 Std/km gefahren werden darf. Die Autos fahren entsprechend schnell an der Hofeinfahrt vorbei. Ein großes Risiko für Mensch, insbesondere Kinder und Tiere. Mein jagdlich geführter Zuchtrüde ist durch einen Autofahrer schwerst verletzt worden und schwebte 4 Tage mit kollabierter Lunge in Lebensgefahr. Nur durch einen Schutzengel, seine kräftiger muskuläre Statur und durch seinen Lebenswillen konnte er dieses Trauma überleben. Ich empfehle dringend die Einfahrt abzusichern durch z.B. Spiegel, geschlossenes Hofeinfahrtstor, Schilder mit Hinweis auf Einfahrt, spielende Kinder und ähnliches.
