The hotel is clean, and the staff, especially the evening staff and the cleaning team both are very friendly and pleasant.
However, there is no elevator. The hotel is located on the first floor and can only be accessed via a long stairs. There is no lift either inside or outside the building, which makes the hotel very unsuitable for families with baby, children, elderly guests, people with disabilities, or anyone carrying a lot of luggage.
The rooms are clean, and the paintwork and general maintenance look good at first look. However, the rooms are very very small. The bed is too small for two people and not very comfortable. The mattress seems very old and makes a creaking noise whenever you move, I have baby in the room and every time I move it made some noise and baby wake up, me and my wife too!
Soundproofing is also a major issue. Noise from outside the room, including doors opening and closing, people talking in the hallway, cars outside, and even the radio at reception, can be heard from inside the room.
The bathroom is basic. The sink area only provides shampoo, and it comes in a poorly designed sachet that is very difficult to open (you should have some knife to open it). The toilet also does not drain properly.
The surrounding area is bad, poorly maintained, and not particularly clean. In my opinion, it is not a comfortable area for tourists, especially in the evening. The streets can be very quiet and deserted, with many narrow alleyways, which can make you feel uncomfortable and concerned about personal safety.
Overall, the hotel is inexpensive, but unfortunately, I don't feel it offers good value for money. For me, it would not be worth even half of the price paid.

I stayed here for one night while waiting for my next flight, and it was just what I needed. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and great for a short trip or stopover. The direct area around the hotel isn't interesting, but if you walk about 10 minutes, you’ll reach Bab El Bhar — the gateway to the Medina and Kasbah of Tunis. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth.
