Lovely location and even better rooms!

Beautiful location and very well designed rooms. The right balance between a castle feel with a modern touch, so it’s not over the top or understated. Friendly staff as well. Complimentary fruits and chocolate in the room was a nice touch!

Nothing major, just a small something : The annex room was missing a hand soap likely missed out during housekeeping and we weren’t staying long enough to ask for it and managed with body wash. I’m sure it would have been fixed easily if asked.

Burg Schwarzenstein was absolutely AMAZING!!! It looked great just from the pictures, but the actual location and view was OVER the top. The view of the vineyards, the Johanissburg Schloss and Rhein was breath taking! The staff was amazing and friendly and professional. The restaurant on the terrace was exceptional and the view gorgeous. The meals we had there were just amazing!! We only wish we had scheuduled more than one day. I can say that we want to come back for sure. If you have a chance to stay here, DO IT!! You will not be disappointed.

Very pleasant and quite environment

The garden and the view from the restaurant

The breakfast was chaotic at the time we went (9:30), we waited quite long time for a table to be cleaned and to order something. Staff were nowhere to be found for a while and they were all overwhelmed. One of them got our orders wrong, and another one was unfriendly. One item we ordered was forgotten. The amount of choices for breakfast was quite average (even considering the choices in the menu), things are not being refilled on time at the buffet. Although the quality of the food was quite good.

We stayed two nights and we recommend this hotel plus their restaurants.

Breakfast was just great ! Extras such as Egg benedict were included. Diner was very good but expensive. Room was clean and comfortable

Fantastic castle stay

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. They were attentive and responsive, always with a smile! The view from the hotel was lovely! The room was comfortable and clean! The hotel was also was close to the vineyards!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Der Service überall toll. Auch die netten Kleinigkeiten auf dem Zimmer( Wasser, Obst , Praline) erfreuten uns sehr.

Es wäre noch schön, wenn es einen kleinen Wellnessbereich geben würde.

Prachtig hotel!

Alles eigenlijk. Waanzinnig wijds uitzicht vanaf de ontbijtzaal. Prachtig verzorgde kamers van alles voorzien. Attent personeel bij de receptie en bij het ontbijt.

Alles is zo compleet maar wij misten alleen koffie / thee op de kamer.

Die Lage der Burg ist sehr schön , nur eben nicht das Gästehaus!

Das Frühstück

Wir waren im Gästehaus ( das liegt hinter der ganzen Anlage versteckt , und war wohl mal ein 2-Familienhaus , das umgebaut wurde) . Bei der Buchung war das so überhaupt nicht erkennbar! Das Zimmer war lieblos hergerichtet … die Gardine hin zum Teil herab , die Jalousie klemmte , zwei Spinnen an der Wand , und wenn man Obst anbietet , sollte es frisch sein ! Das Schlimmste war aber die Matratze , von schlechtester Qualität und in einem Stück( das sollte angegeben sein !) . Es fehlte zum Überfluss am passenden Laken dafür und so wurde aus zwei kleineren gestückelt . Ebenso waren die Bettdecken vom Billigsten . Für einen Übernachtungspreis von knapp 200€ ist so etwas ein no go! Zum Glück konnten wir die restlichen Tage stornieren .

Leider war unser Zimmer genau über dem Aufenthalten der Küche, ständiges poltern, Lieferung usw. Es könnte etwas sauberer sein : Handtücher und Baldachin 😉

Die Lage und das Anwesen. Auch das Bistro und Restaurant haben gutes Essen und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Das Empfangspersonal ist sehr höflich

Ich hatte eine sehr unschöne Begegnung mit dem Betreiber des Hotels Michael Teigelkamp beim Frühstück, bei dem ich in einer unangebrachten Art und Weise angesprochen wurde. Ich bin in sehr vielen Hotels dieser Welt gewesen, aber das ist mir noch nie passiert. Ich habe daraufhin das Hotel sofort verlassen. Zudem war eine Hochzeitfeier, wodurch das Hotel und die Restaurants für mich als Gast nur zu bestimmten Zeiten und im reduzierten Umfang benutzbar waren. Beim Buchen habe ich keinen Vermerk über einen reduzierten Service und Zugang festgestellt. Insgesamt ist der Aufenthalt den Preis und Ärger nicht Wert. Es gibt in der Gegend einige sehr schöne Hotels. Ich gehe dort jedenfalls nicht wieder hin

Wunderschönes Ambiente, herrliches Frühstück mit unkomfortablem Gästehaus und hohen Kosten für den Hund.

Schöne Parkanlage, wunderbares Frühstück bei herrlicher Aussicht und netter Bedienung.

Wir hatten aufgrund der Wärme ein Zimmer mit Klimaanlage gebucht (Stand so im Ausstattungsumfang) und wurden mit unserem Hund im strassenseitigen Gästehaus platziert; dies aber ohne Klimaanlage. Da wir das Fester offenhalten mussten und die Hauptstrasse nur 5m davon weg verlief, war die Nacht nicht erholsam. Zudem verfügen die Zimmer über sehr unkonfortable, weiche Matrazen. Das Zimmer kostete 45€ zusätzlich für den Hund, was sonst in West-Europa 15€ kostet.

Tolle Lage - freundliches Personal

Die tolle Lage in den Weinbergen und ein wunderbarer Ausblick sind einen Besuch wert. Die Mitarbeiter - am Abend in Restaurant und auch beim Frühstück - bieten eine freundliche und persönliche Atmosphäre.

Im Nebengebäude ist es etwas lauter, dafür der Preis etwas günstiger.

Lage oberhalb der Weinberge Fantastisch. Frühstücksbuffet, sagenhaft. Personal super freundlich.

Die Zimmer im Nebenhaus sind nahe an der Straße und ab morgens um 6:00 Uhr donnert der Schwerverkehr dort entlang.
