Hotel staff didn't want to or couldn't help me

Great location, the hotel does not offer parking, but there are various options nearby. Breakfast buffet was good as well.

Upon arrival there was a hotel worker present that instead of checking me in directed me to read several emails and messages in my booking inbox to then click through the check-in process. That process ended up not working properly leaving the situation in a stalemate where the hotel worker didn't want or could not help me but the system also didn't continue until after waiting for 10 minutes. Once that was done, you get an email that contains the key for the front door and your room door. Getting to that point was tedious though.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel with friendly staff, great breakfast, and large rooms!

The location was excellent, the staff (especially Nino) was very helpful, and the rooms were much larger than I expected!

There was a slight smell but that’s on par with older buildings. The rooms were completely modern, though, and wonderful!

Great breakfast but self check-in was lacking in information

The self check-in experience was very unclear and cost us money stress and time. Whilst it was simple to check-in on line there was no information during check-in regarding parking and other offered facilities. Having already found parking and checked into our room using the door lock code. We visited and payed for the water fall tour only to discover after at the cafe they had parking at a third of the price at the hotel and that the water fall was free with a tourist voucher we did not receive. Although this place is self check-in, before you make the same mistakes as us please go straight to the café to receive your check-in information.

Really lovely stay in Triberg at Hotel Cafe Adler

The breakfast had a lovely selection of breads, meats and cheeses. There was also fresh coffee available and Angel was so hospitable and there was a lovely old school charm to this place. The room was spacious and clean.

Breakfast was great! The location was great and parking was convenient!

The check in procedure was stressful. All on the phone website for doors. I checked in a little late and no internet had to call a german answering machine that thank goodness spoke english upon request. We almost had to keep driving and not sleep there.

Steep walk uphill to get to restaurants, attractions.

I liked the family room.

Lack of staff for assisting guests. They were too busy working the pastry shop. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options. Very noisy on the Main Street.

What a pain the booking system is. From the moment I booked I got several emails a week saying I had to respond or they would cancel my booking. Contacted the hotel and booking.com and was told they are spam ignore them. But still they came thick and fast. I didn't really know if the booking would still be valid. The whole booking g system is stupid and relies on one having a smart phone. I don't. As you have to get a parking g pass, which requires a deposit, and pay city tax on arrival just do the f***** check in. I managed to get a swipe card for my room so I could stay but if I'd timed it differently who knows. A .ot a hassle for no gain by either party.

Nice stay in the waterfall capital

Check in was quite difficult as it was a Thursday and the proprietor had to try to run a cafe upstairs at the same time as getting people to fill in registration forms downstairs. This took quite some time.

This hotel was great, good breakfast, lovely black forest cake in the Cafe for purchase in the afternoon. The location allowed ease of access to museums and the wasserfall. The room was spacious and great for a family of 4.

Really clean, room was large, basic but excellent value. On the Main Street so nicely in between the train station and the waterfalls, plus it’s close to the main places to eat and drink. Breakfast was solid, the lady serving was nice

It's right on the street where the House of a 1000 clocks is. Breakfast was good. They have a cafe and they sell authentic Blackforest cake!

There's no parking within the premises. There is a public parking nearby, the hotel will provide a parking disc for you which you have to pay €6 per day. Otherwise, all is good!

Nice and cozy place to stay in Triberg

Very cozy little hotel in the heart of the city. The cafe on the first floor is very popular and have a big assortiment of cakes and chocolates. It is nice to have a coffee and cake pause. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The parking is not expensive. The Triberg waterfalls in the walking distance and it is free admission with guests crt provided by hotel. The guest cart also give free access to some local places such as Ski lifts, museums, etc..

Breakfast and coffee were good but pretty basic, not so special how you can expect in the nice coffee shop.
