Villa Lavanda Grande is a welcoming two-story age-old farm house surrounded by the greenery. It sleeps nine people. From Villa Lavanda Grande you will enjoy a fascinating view of the Tuscan hills and of the greenery. Villa Lavanda Grande is 160 square meters (1720 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a private patio, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.
You will be roughly 8 km (5 miles) from Sorano, where you will find restaurants and shops. You will find a grocery store at 2 km (roughly 1.2 miles). You will reach Villa Lavanda Grande from the parking area along a short route that cuts through the garden and has no stairway steps.
To stay at Villa Lavanda Grande you will need a car. You will be able to park it in a reserved parking space.

Villa Lavanda is an ancient small house with stone walls, which used to be a shelter for the peasants. The owners have turned it in a simple and pleasant holiday home, keeping the simple ancient structure made of wood and stone.  Across the garden from the main building, at a short distance, the owners have renovated a second building, which will also be available for your exclusive use. Thus you will have at your disposal a total of five bedrooms: three in the main building, and two in the annex.


It is located a few kilometers outside Sorano, which is known as the “town of the tuff”. The history of Sorano dates back to the third century B.C., and it is an essential stop if you wish to discover the traces of the Etruscan civilization.


The area is made of verdant hills, and Villa Lavanda is situated in an elevated position on the slope of one of these hills. It is surrounded by an estate of 3 hectares (approximately 7.5 acres), which includes a beautiful oak wood.


You will be able to look around in any direction, from any spot in the garden or while sunbathing by the pool, and you will only sea a horizon of green hills, fields and woods.The air is clear and perfumed by the grass and the flowers. Your children will have fun playing free, and you will be able to take hikes in the nearby small wood.


Villa Lavanda is a perfect place to relax between a trip and the next one to the nearby villages, rich in art, history and traditions. In the immediate surroundings there are important Etruscan and Roman excavation sites, such as the Etruscan necropolis of Sovana, remarkable strongholds and sixteenth-century burgs, as well as an extraordinary natural environment created by the tuffaceous hills. You will be able to take day trips to Pitigliano, famous for being built on top of a tuffaceous hill, Orvieto and its splendid Cathedral, Siena, Florence and the other art cities of Tuscany.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 5 meters (16 feet) large by 10 meters (33 feet) long. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, deck chairs and sun loungers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a charming view of the valley and of the hills. The pool is open from mid-May until the beginning of October.

Patio
The patio is partly shaded by a roof. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the patio you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside.
Garden
The garden is 100 square meters (1076 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a wood-fired pizza oven. From the garden you will enjoy a fascinating view of the Tuscan hills and of the greenery.
Main Building, Ground FloorLiving Room 1
The first living room is paved with ancient terracotta tiles. The furnishings are rural and characteristic of the Tuscan house. The furnishings include a sofa and two armchairs. There is an age-old fireplace made of bricks. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, a refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate five guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). The room has a window.
Bedroom 1
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the garden through a French door.
Bathroom 1
The first bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room.
Main Building, First FloorBedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor through an access area. The floor is paved with wood. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin and a toilet.
Bedroom 3
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor through an access area. It has a single bed (80 cm/32 inches).
Annex, Ground FloorLiving Room 2
You will be able to enter the second living room from the garden. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams and terracotta tiles. The furnishings include an armchair. There is a nice fireplace. The dining table can accommodate four guests.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. Here you will also find a washing machine.
Bedroom 4
You will be able to enter the fourth bedroom from the living room. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a window with a view of the garden.
Bathroom 2
The second bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the kitchen.
Annex, First FloorBedroom 5 with en-suite bathroom
The fifth bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the garden. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.
