Frigiliana: Apartment/ flat - FRIGILIANA

Superb as always. Excellent location. Air conditioned apartment which is much needed in the area. Great pool and everything you need provided. Towels etc. stayed in many apartments in frigiliana and this is by far the best.

The property was located slightly out of the busiest parts of the village, but an easy and enjoyable walk into the heart of things. The fastest way is up the steps directly outside the apartment so get comfortable shoes on. There was only two of us staying, but there would be more than enough room for 6 people. The kitchen has every gadget you could imagine but all the local eating places do great food too. The outside space is great once the sun comes around, which while we were there it was 11ish. It's stays on the balcony until it sets behind the mountain.. the views are lovely. The garage space was a godsend as there was very little parking outside the apartment. We didn't really know which side to use, but we choose one and didn't get a telling off. There was a zapper to open and close the door in the apartment. There are lots of books and DVD's available, but nothing in English.. But that it was an issue for us. Overall a lovely place to spend some time.

This is a great apartment in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Frigiliana. You can drive up to the door of the apartment block but you have a few flights of stairs to the apartment. The apartment itself is roomy and has great outside space. It is a little bit tired but that makes it homely. The off street parking is quite tight so I'd recommend a small car if you wish to use that. All in all though, a great place to stay.

We stayed in this property for 12 nights at the end of September/beginning of October. The apartment is excellently located in the heart of the village - just walk up the steps at the side of the property and you can gain access to the pool and at the top of the steps you are into the main walking route through the centre of the village. The property overlooks the main road around the village and there are great views down the valley to the coast. You are near to the shops and just a short walk to the bus stop. The apartment itself has all the equipment and utensils that you would require for a self-catering experience in Frigiliana. Whilst everything you need is in the apartment, we felt that there was too much crammed into the cupboards, kitchen, wardrobes, etc. We had to clear some space to hang our clothes and the bedside tables in the master bedroom contained personal belongings and clothing. We did not consider the apartment to be the cleanest and many of the mugs, glasses, etc. were stained - thankfully the dishwasher worked, although the button to release the dishwasher tablet was broken. The pool was in shade most of the day and there were few sunbeds available - the sunbed in the apartment itself was broken so we were limited to the seats provided. Overall, we felt that the property required some updating and a clear out. This is our fourth visit to Frigiliana as we really enjoy the friendliness of the people, the atmosphere, the restaurants/cafes and the overall ambience. We'll be back soon, but will probably book different accommodation for our next visit.
