Sea Oats

Lovely place, just a couple of blocks (a five minute walk) from Pacific Beach State Park. The two-story apartment has three bedrooms downstairs, and a very light and pleasant living/dining room upstairs - great for hanging out, playing games or watching the sun go down. Everything was clean, the kitchen was fully functional, and the place was well appointed (with dishes, silverware, etc.). Seabrook is 5 minutes away and worth checking out if you've never seen this charming village that looks like Bodega Bay or a little New England Village plopped incongruously on the Washington Coast. Lake Quianault is 45 minutes away, Kalaloch an hour and a half. We had a great time staying here.

Just a few suggestions -- it's always nice to leave some kitchen scrubbies so people have some way of washing dishes! Placemats and coasters would be helpful, so guests don't worry about ruining the wood tables as they're sipping their coffee. I couldn't find a bathmat, so I ended up using a towel. Our dog had some difficulty negotiating the stairs, which are hardwood without any carpeting or strips to increase traction.

Location was fantastic, very close to the beach. Place was cute and comfortable. Lot’s of room for my family of 3. It was nice to have our own space vs. just a hotel room.

We had a 4 pm check-in. We arrived at 5 and the house had not been cleaned. I was on hold with Vacasa for an hour and a half and no one picked up. The house cleaner showed up and was very apologetic, she thought she had until 11pm so clearly our check in was not communicated. She put us in touch with the manager who simply said she’d refund the cleaning deposit. Additionally the WiFi info communicated was wrong and we had to relight the pilot for the fireplace. Checkout was 10am which is ridiculous. The manager should have offered 11 since they delayed our check-in an hour.
