Beautiful cosy cottage, only mins walk from Mousehole harbour, 3 Large Bedrooms

Overall the property was comfortable - couple of niggles which the owner will discuss with the new cleaner. First time we have stayed in a property that allows pets and we don’t have any - not sure we would again but this property is perfect for people with dogs. Paul is a great base for staying near Mousehole - very close to walk in everyday - we certainly had lots of exercise. We tried all the eateries in the village and thankful to the Kings Arms for fitting us in late on arrival day after an 8 hour drive!

This is a beautiful spacious house, very clean and well equipped for our family holiday in October. We loved the large kitchen dining room and the spacious lounge. Beds were great and the lovely bath a real treat. We enjoyed the king's arms and pottering around Mousehole plus exploring further afield. The dogs had a great time as did the three year old!! Thank you so much.

this is a fantastic property absolutely gorgeous through and through. very spacious and comfortable propbably the best property that we have stayed in in Cornwall. great location plenty of parking plenty of storage.

We arrived to find scaffolding! An eyesore on such a lovely cottage/garden. Poles to the ground from around the whole property obstructing all the window views except 1. We contacted the owners who contacted the scaffolding co. (to their knowledge it had been removed weeks ago), told it would be removed Mon/Tues. Each day went on, had to chase the owners up who chased the scaffolders! It was still there when we left, it really spoilt our holiday and using the beautiful garden as much as we’d hoped as it was just an ugly view like staying on a building site. Unsecured ladders at ground level from the pub carpark caused some anxiety in our family of security especially at night after a hot day when we’d like windows open with sea air, Steph assured me that Paul is a very safe place and all was okay ( I guess our dog would have barked loudly too) but it was just a stressful situation all round for all of us including the owners. We cannot fault the inside of the cottage, spotlessly clean, spacious, fabulous kitchen and bathroom, very large bedrooms, very high standard and was lovely. The road to Mousehole is very steep on the way back up to the cottage and narrow, with a dog it was difficult avoiding cars and would be difficult for anyone with health or mobility issues. The King Arms pub next door is good for free parking next to the cottage and you can easily see the car park from the garden. We went for dinner and mentioned we were parking overnight as agreed with the owners (signs up saying no overnight stays) they said the owners shouldn’t of said this as parking overnight isn’t allowed. I checked the info back at the cottage, definitely agreed with owners and was all fine. King Arms are slow at taking your order if you are sat outside even on a quiet day. We had hot weather every day end Aug/early Sept. Dog ban on beaches until 6pm until Aug 31st so we went later and saw sunsets at Sennan Cove and other local beaches. Rock Pool Cafe and Coastguard Inn in Mousehole great table views to sea and excellent food/drinks and great service and dog friendly. Lane to Mousehole from house steep on way back, narrow road with the dog, you need to be fit and have no mobility issues. We saw dolphins and seals with Cormoran Boat Trips - a great experience and dog friendly. Lands End and Porthcurno beach beautiful & famous Kynance Cove worth the drive. We hope we can resolve the situation soon Steph and Matt for the inconvenience during our stay.

Lovely well equipped cottage, excellent base for beautiful beaches, stunning coast walks and two very nice pubs in Mousehole a short walk away.

The property was lovely and spacious for the 2 of us. Parking was great, pub and village hall car park right next door. Very peaceful location. Literally 5 mins down the hill to mousehole. Quite close to all of the places we wanted to visit. Hosts were brilliant. The day we travelled there I had a few questions and they answered rapidly considering steph was actually giving birth to their baby boy!!!! Would definitely stay again if we were wanting to stay around that area Mackrel sky is a must if you are in Newlyn. Beautiful freshly cooked food and so relaxed Thankyou for having us

We enjoyed our stay here especially with the pub not far away that served excellent food!! Paul was an ideal base for touring around this part of Cornwall and we plan to return in the future.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, it was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Very comfortable bed and sofa. We also loved the open plan kitchen-dining room. It was great to be able to walk into Mousehole without having to worry about parking! Having the Kings Arms next door was a real bonus as we managed to book a table there 5 out of our 7 nights. Everywhere else in Mousehole was fully booked. The fields at the back of the pub was a really useful place to let our dog have a run first thing in the morning and later in the evening.

Really enjoyable week in this spacious and well equipped house. Ideally located for Mousehole, St. Ives, Sennen Cove, Minack Theatre and all that the western tip of Cornwall has to offer. Gorgeous kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Excellent Lewis takeaway fish and chips in Newlyn. Great pub next door for meals. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely holiday. The house was beautiful, very clean and well stocked. Close to beautiful beaches and harbours. Would thoroughly recommend.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here, the cottage was clean and so well equipped. We had fab weather so ate outside most evenings. We walked down to Mousehole and swam in the harbour, it was all so idyllic. The cottage was a great base for us to explore this part of Cornwall, some of our fave places were the Minnack Theatre, Sennen, Porthcurno beach, St. Michael’s Mount and Cape Cornwall. We will most certainly be back! Thank you so much 😊

The first morning brought a pleasant surprise on Sunday morning when we heard the Paul church choir singing in the church Quiet Garden behind the cottage. Delightful. Twice a day horse and rider pass by the cottage, going to and from.. Three times a day the resident of the house next door is visited by a neighbour on a rota … a village community looking after their own. The church had an open day on Wednesday, we were disappointed to miss it as we had gone to the Penlee Gallery at Penzance for the Dame Laura Knight exhibition. Stunning. Fish and chips from Lewis’ in Newlyn. Delicious. We are still reluctant to visit restaurants so we dined in. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to cook in. Take out coffee sat on the harbour wall at Lamorna watching the waves break on the rocks until the drizzle threatened to become heavier. Back to the cottage and the crossword. No need to travel far from the comfort of the cottage. Big kitchen to sit around in, comfy sofas to crash out on, sun trap garden, pub next door but we preferred to have G&Ts in the garden. After 15 months of continually reacting to covid rules and hard slog to keep our business on track we were more than ready for a rest. The cottage was the perfect bolt hole, close to Mousehole, Newlyn, Penzance and St Ives with all that the area has to offer. Lots of laughing, sleeping, recharging. Thank you for a great week. This is a lovely house. It is very well appointed. The bedrooms are all a good size. It is in a quiet location handy for all Cornwall has to offer. Steph was very helpful. We hope to stay there again.

Garden was over grown, and we had to clean it up and had to wash down the patio to make it usable and house was very damp and a lot of plaster had fallen off the wall and walls visibly wet. The brown leather sofa was covered in mould. Owner were very upset at the condition and was not the usual standard. Out this down to the first day after lock down and house empty for 6 months.

We had a wonderful time, the cottage was great, loved waking up and down to Mousehole and exploring all the local beaches.

Efficient process and excellent communication. Lovely cottage even better than described, plenty of space. Ideal location only a short downhill walk to Mousehole. Dog walks all round the area, dog friendly pubs meant we could all stay together.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay in this cottage. The inside is very spacious with large living and dining room, big sitting room, there are 3 double bedrooms and big bathroom as well as an outhouse housing all laundry equipment and a generous garden. There were 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog and we had plenty of space The house was equipped with everything you need and is very clean and beautifully decorated. The location is great being next door to the Kings arms and there is ample parking in the car park. Mousehole is a short walk down the hill (feels longer in the way up but we enjoyed it) and is was good to come back to beautiful Paul and was much easier driving in and out of here than Mousegole. Overall lovely stay and would definitely come back.

This is a sweet cottage in a perfect location - walking distance to Mousehole, but far enough away to be quiet, with hassle free parking in the village hall car park next door. We are a family of six and we found the living space downstairs comfortable and sociable with a huge kitchen table and plenty of seating in the living room. The garden is great for sitting out in the evening with a gas BBQ and hose and line for washing out wetsuits. It’s close to both spectacular beaches - off the beaten track and quiet even in August - and amenities in Penzance for food shopping. Although there is only one bathroom and toilet, it is perfectly adequate with a lovely hot shower and Victorian bath. There is a friendly pub next door with outside seating adjacent to the property but the noise was minimal and we rather liked the chatty buzz in the evenings. It would be difficult to beat this for location and it’s facilities. We will come again!

We had a great week staying in Paul. Mousehole is a short walk down the hill & is a lovely village with a stunning harbour. The cottage was very clean & well equipped with a sunny garden (although a coffee machine would be a welcome addition!) We visited lots of local beaches & were very lucky with the weather. A great staycation!

Beautiful cottage, in an idyllic setting. Parking not an issue either. Cottage was amazing, do clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Did not have a single problem. Was so sad to leave and will definitely be returning (hopefully soon)

We had a superb stay here, would highly recommend. The communication was fantastic with the owners. The parking is absolutely fine outside, the walk is down a hill into Mousehole but really not far max 10mins. The house is spacious & has everything you need! Would stay again!

This was our second time booking through Homeaway and once again I'm impressed. Stephanie was so friendly and helpful, answering any queries we had before and on arrival. Pedn Brose is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need and much, much more. We arrived in torrential rain and even that couldn't dampen our spirits. First impressions count and the cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. There was a lovely welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and fresh flowers) plus cleaning products, and general items such as salt and pepper. The large communal kitchen and living space is a perfect space for unwinding, playing games and just spending time together. For more relaxed times the lounge is really comfortable for chilling out. Lots of games and jigsaws are available to keep everyone entertained. Luckily the rain disappeared after our first day and the sun shone. The walk to Mousehole is beautiful. It takes about six minutes to walk down and the views are stunning. Obviously the walk back takes a bit longer but it wasn't as steep as I'd imagined and Pedn Brose is one of the first houses in Paul. It's perfect as you can enjoy the delights of Mousehole...and it really is wonderful...but avoid the hassle of driving and escape the crowds. There were four of us (2 adults and 2 children (17 and 12) plus one dog, so plenty of room. I would recommend Pedn Brose without any hesitation...We loved It!!! It really is home from home and we'd return in a shot.

The property is comfortable with every need catered for. Kitchen very well equipped, ample space and plenty of fridge room for wine and obviously food! We loved the outdoor area and we even managed a bbq one evening. Bedrooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds and lovely bed linen. Some evenings it was really chilly but we were able to adjust the heating to stay warm and cosy. Just a couple of suggestions: some coat hooks downstairs for outdoor clothing would be really helpful. Also a separate loo downstairs would be a great asset, especially when there were six adults clamouring to get to the facilities! Otherwise it was perfect, excellent value and great communication and helpfulness from Steph the owner. Many thanks from us all ....... Family Glasser

We have stayed at the cottage several times now and we absolutely love it. The cottage is decorated to a fabulous standard and the cleanliness is second to none. Everything is at your door step location wise. Another perfect week with the family ❤️

if you fancy a holiday in Cornwall then you should stay here. The cottage is exactly as the photographs show and is so lovely, every room is lovely and comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location is ideal and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. I would thoroughly recommend the cottage and would stay here again.
