Villa with character and beautiful garden close to Rethymno

Absolutely fabulous vacation spot! We were 5 people and it was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at Vaggelis' home! It is located in a beautiful area in the hills of Rethymno a short drive from town, in a square full of sweet cats and right next to a path for walking in the mountains. There was plenty of room to accomodate our group of 8, a lovely outdoor grill and patio, and plenty of pool chairs and towels. Vaggelis was a wonderful host - he helped us find the house, kept the outdoor space clean each day, and communicated promptly. I highly recommend this stay!

It was a great stay at the property. The backyard and pool are very enjoyable as well as the layout of the house and rooms. The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner but that’s nothing that impacted our stay. The communication with the host was great and he was always there if needed. We definitely enjoyed the quietness of the area. The WiFi was ok but sometimes it was weak and a bit slow. Overall we definitely would come back.

The property itself is lovely. The pictures don't do it justice because it is hard to capture how pleasant it actually is. We stayed with 2 families, a total of 7 people. There was plenty of space. My teenaged children were very pleased with the wifi, the pool, and the private space they had away from the adults. Our hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful. For example; I accidentally bumped our rental car, then I came outside and found our host cleaning and buffing the small dent in the car! They recommended an excellent more secluded beach, restaurants and were excellent hosts in every way. The property is in a tiny collection of 5 houses in the hills. It is a bit off the beaten path, and we liked this. It takes perhaps 15 minutes to get to central Rethimno by car. Best,Chris
