About this cottage rental

Dinmore Cottage is a comfy 200 year old cottage for 2 people, well appointed and complete with all the home comforts you require including a wood burning stove, flat screen TV with freesat and free wi-fi.

The cottage is beautifully furnished throughout with comfy seating in the living/dining room and a modern kitchen with Bosch oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer and microwave. There is ample pantry space and a utility area with washer dryer. Upstairs is a spacious and bright double bedroom with views across the village green and, in the distance, to Harkerside. Across the landing is the contemporary bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

All towels and linen are provided together with an initial supply of logs for the stove.

Outside there is a sun trap seating area with a bench and a lockable outbuilding with ample space for bikes and outdoor gear.

There are plenty of places to park close to the cottage and around the village green.

What a lovely cosy cottage, very clean, had everything we needed for our stay. A lovely welcome basket was appreciated after a long journey. The village was a perfect location to explore the dales, and had great walks from straight off the doorstep. Beautiful views, friendly pubs that served great food, a nice bakery and a well stocked grocery shop and post office. We even had the chance to light the wood burner which was very cosy. We can't thank Gareth enough for making our stay so easy and stress free. Highly recommend, just perfect

Dinmore is beautifully presented and had absolutely everything you could wish for. A very nice addition was the welcome pack of bread, delicious butter, milk and yummy biscuits! The view from the bedroom and the sitting room is wonderful and yet just set back a bit from the green with views across it, so very peaceful. We were very lucky getting two out of three beautiful warm spring days. The walks from Reeth are superb too.

Very pleasant accommodation with easy parking nearby and handy for Reeth with its cafes and pubs (for meals).Quiet, interesting dale, "... far from the madding crowd ..." as Gray has it. Ideal for the thoughtful traveller, walker, cyclist or country lover who loves and appreciates the grandeur of the rugged dale and the hospitality of its people.

My wife and I stayed for 5 days in February. We had a wonderful time, and the cottage had everything we needed to have a nice restful break, and was a great base from which we could explore the dales.

May be because of it's slightly eccentric location in the Yorkshire Dales, Reeth doesn't feel as a busy as Hawes. Ideal if you want your stay to be a bit more away from the everyday rush. But in Reeth we could get almost anything for our stay in Dinmore cottage. Otherwise Barnard Castle or Richmond were a short drive from Reeth. And from Reeth, by car, we could reach almost every Yorkshire Dales highlight in max 1,5 hour. Therefore we had a lovely stay in Dinmore Cottage, Reeth and the Yorkshire Dales.

We loved it as soon as we saw it, and it felt like we were being given a big hug from an old friend when we stepped into this gorgeous cottage, and yet it was our first visit. Dinmore was warm, comfortable and lovely to stay in. The lovely touches such as the flowers on the table. The milk and butter in the fridge, and the loaf of bread and biscuits. Perfect location in the beautiful village of Reeth, which in itself was a great base for many of the surrounding villages and towns. Highly recommend Dinmore Cottage for a great getaway for a couple. Host’s were extremely helpful and easy to contact.

Dinmore is a perfect base for exploring Swaledale. Beautifully decorated and well equipped, with shop, pubs etc close by but quietly situated just off the village green, we loved relaxing here after magnificent walks in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. Highly recommended!

Reeth is a jumping-off point for many hikers and cyclists in the Dales. It has several pubs and restaurants, and with a car, more are available in the nearby small towns. The Dinsmore Cottage was exactly as advertised and very comfortable. The fact that it is right in town and within easy walking distances of amenities was very handy. This cottage is highly recommendable.

The cottage was easy to find, spotless and had everything we needed for a homely stay. The location is a peaceful escape with stunning surroundings. We recommended the 8 walks map of Reeth for exploring. Our favourite spot was the swing bridge. Lots of birdwatching to be done. Hope we will have a chance to visit again. Thanks!

Wow! What an impeccable and beautiful cottage. No detail has been missed and I honestly cannot fault it. It's a perfect, self contained, comfortable and cosy place to stay and it has everything you need. We had a short break Fri-Sun to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and we were not disappointed. From the moment we booked it, Gareth & Jo were brilliantly communicative and attentive, without being overbearing. The fresh tulips, fresh loaf, butter, biscuits and milk that had been left for us on arrival made were such a lovely touch. We were also left enough logs to utilise the wood stove for our duration. I can't think of any detail that has not been considered to make this a pleasant and welcoming stay. Reeth itself is stunning and we will definitely be returning. It's absolutely Gorgeous. Thank you for allowing us to experience this amazing cottage and for your wonderful hospitality.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away at this lovely little cottage. Fantastic location in the heart of Reeth, easy parking and three pubs to choose from after a day’s walking. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with particularly high quality bedding and towels. Gareth was warm and friendly in all his communication and made the booking process easy. Lovely treats waiting for us on arrival and one of the best log burners I’ve encountered! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Dinmore Cottage is an ideal bolthole for a couple looking for a getaway. The cottage had everything we needed and Reeth has several pubs for meals and drinks. The only downside was that the cottage was bitterly cold upon arrival and took several hours to get even remotely warm. Fortunately, the local pubs had roaring fires to keep is warm until we could use the cottage properly.
