About this cottage rental
Converted from an old barn, the west gite has a double room and a twin beds room. One family bathroom. Downstairs the gite is open plan with sitting, dining and kitchen areas.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric induction cooking hob and oven, fridge and automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee and Nespresso coffee machine, toaster. A large decked patio and barbecue, and garden table and chairs in the garden that overlooks superb views.
The terraced pool (10 x 5 m) fully alarmed.
Location: The farmhouse is located in the Tarn-et-Garonne and this region offers a great diversity of landscapes (forests, meadows, farmed hillsides, deep valleys etc....) together with a great historical richness - castles of the middle ages, churches or simple stone farmhouses with their 'pigeonniers' (dove cote's) are very typical of this region. The Gorges of Aveyron and the picturesque town of St. Antonin Noble Val are only 20 minutes drive away. Don't forget to visit the Ingres museum in Montauban or the Lenoir museum in Montricoux. A little further, you will enjoy visits to Albi with its famous cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec museum, Cordes sur Ciel, St Cirq la Poppie are very beautiful middle age villages, or the city of Toulouse, which is only 80 km away. There is a market almost everyday of the week in different villages Amenities: Caylus (6 km) has all the amenities - doctors, pharmacy, bank, newsagent (Dutch and English papers available here) bakers, butchers, greengrocers, bars and a few good restaurant. There are also some larger supermarkets in Caussade, Villefranche de Rouergue and Montauban. A wide variety of sports are available in the area. Canoeing, kayaking, biking, horse riding and hiking. There are many good restaurants where you will enjoy the pleasures of french cooking. Don't hesitate to ask for a restaurant recommendation for a nice meal.

Wonderful gite with all comfort you need and nice swimming pool. We had a drink at arrival with the owners who are very friendly. Nice place to have a peaceful holiday!

We stayed 7 nights with our two friends. The gite was well equipped and comfortable. A place to relax and unwind. Would definitely recommend.

We have just enjoyed a delightful weeks stay at Perard. We arrrived to a delicious pre-prepared lasagne which was perfect stress free way to feed the family after a long drive with a toddler. Thank you Fazanna! There are no roads near by and the garden outside the gite meant he could play freely as we sat on the terrace enjoying the views and the bird song. The swimming pool is gated and alarmed which was reassuring.
The area around the cottage is beautiful and peaceful. Walks and bike rides can be done straight from the door. There is so much wildlife in the forrested valleys near by, as well as secluded churches and crumbling castles. The local town Caylus is very cute and near by are medieval hill towns, caves with prehistoric painting and markets with fresh farm produce.
Fazanna and Jean-Claude were delightful hosts, friendly and welcoming. Their little dogs made my sons holiday.
