Amazing House in Chalki

The house is spacious for two with seperate bed, living and dining/kitchen areas. The verandah is also spacious with room to sunbathe and eat outside. Plenty of storage space and all the facilities you would expect. The location is good too. Just one row back from the sea front with easy access to swimming in the harbour. All village shops and tavernas are only a couple of minutes away. Despite this, it is very peaceful and nobody knows you are there.

The last ferw steps of access are up several narrow stone steps - not the easiest but we septagenarians managed them!Hopefully next time we come the lovely blue awning will be repaired and the broken sunbed replaced.

Perfect location, off of the busy port or main tourist paths (we had absolutely peaceful night sleep),but still very close to everything - shops, tavernas, port. I was alone with two kids, youngest 2 years old and for us the location was perfect (and for bigger grocery bags all shops offer free delivery to your doors). House is beautifully decorated, gorgeous views from terrace and has all equipment in kitchen for fixing easy meals. Very quick and kind communication with hosts. We loved our stay in this house.

There was a nice view of the ocean and mountains, the house had sweet air conditioning and it was right by the ocean so you can easily walk down to take a swim… the inside of the house is a fair size, we were a family of four and we fit just fine…the house is a funky colour of blue and it suits the house fine. We had a great stay at the blue house! 👍👌

Lovely looking property and well equipped. It looked like most of the house was recently decorated, except the bathroom which needs some attention. The canopy over the verandah was very good at keeping the sun off but not so good at keeping the rain off!

The steps leading up to the property, and those up to the bedroom may be a problem for some people as neither have handrails and are steep. The drains smell very badly. We thought it was outside but it would start at around 6.30 every evening outside then when we returned at night the whole house smelt badly. We had a lot of rain when we were there but this did not help. The house has too many things in the cupboards, food in the kitchen, 3 coffee makers, the bathroom cupboard was full of used toiletries and we had to empty a wardrobe so we could unpack. A lot of these things should be thrown away eg plastic wrapping. And why would you need 2 irons. We were there for 1 week and the cleaner did not come in that time. Trying to get hold of the owner/manager was very difficult as they did not have their phone switched on. When we arrived and managed to get hold of them eventually, they were surprised that we needed help to find the property. Anyone who has been to Halki will know it is impossible to find a house unless you know where it is!
