The accommodation area still has the air of a building site. A lot of bare sand and dust. Heater is inadequate for the size of the casa. Cold in winter. Twin beds are in the same room as the kitchen. Not ideal! Lack of storage space in the kitchen.
Still not sure why, as a foreign tourist, I had to pay IVA (VAT) on the already expensive accommodation. (This was eclipse week and all accommodation in the region was expensive.) As with elsewhere in the Elqui Valley, I felt that this was an unnecessary additional charge. I only got a receipt for the money I paid. No IVA number or IVA specified. This felt like a rip off.
