About this house rental
“Margie’s Hideaway” boasts stunning lake and mountain views from nearly every window. Situated on a private cul-de-sac in the desirable lower elevations of Incline Village on Tahoe's north shore; minutes from the beaches, championship golf courses, Diamond Peak Ski Area, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Stay in a classic-Tahoe, private, wood-cabin setting while enjoying modern amenities such as wi-fi internet access , cable TV, DVD player, flat-screen TV's (upstairs and downstairs), gas fireplace upstairs. Beautifully appointed super-clean interior with huge beams, traditional Tahoe furnishings and updated kitchen. Master bedroom upstairs; downstairs is a second bedroom and family room with a fireplace and an adjacent sleeping alcove/bedroom area with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds (lower bed is a double). You will enjoy lounging, having a morning cup of coffee, or eating on one of the two decks overlooking the lake. (Gas bbq and gas fire table on property.) The open floor plan of this charming 1,900 square foot home lends itself well to socializing. Situated amidst many mature pines; open the windows in the summertime and relax to the sounds of nearby cascading Incline Creek. Only 45-minute drive, or less to Reno, Carson City, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe, Northstar Resort, Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley) and many other points of interest. Very clean and comfortable place with wonderful mountain and lake views. We saw 4th of July fireworks from the back decks. Ample parking made it easy to offload all our food and luggage. Brand new propane grill was spotless and made excellent surf and turf for dinner. The host is super friendly and easy to communicate with. Definitely a property we would return to for our next visit to Incline Village.

We had a perfectly lovely time at Margie’s Hideaway, The upstairs/downstairs layout gave us all the room we needed for privacy and family time. The view of the lake was spectacular. I would stay here again in a heatbeat

We stayed eight nights. The view of Tahoe was spectacular. That said the house is very outdated. Two people can’t be in the kitchen at one time. It’s too narrow and we couldn’t enjoy cooking together. It was a constant “excuse me” to squeeze by each other. It was well stocked everything you need. TP, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, condiments. We were a group retired people with one having horrible mobility problems. The stairs to the downstairs were too dangerous for our friend. It would have been nice to hang out down there because it hade a giant couch and wood fireplace and gaming table to play cards. The steps are very shallow and steep and we had to be really cautious going up and down. VERY CAUTIOUS. Our friend wasn’t able to go down at all so unfortunately we did get spend any time there. It’s dark inside most of the day and downstairs is very dark. We think it would be an ok place for family with kids. Nice location!
