THE MORETON MANSION:
The 'Moreton Mansion' is the largest house Tangalooma has to offer. As the name suggests, the 'Moreton Mansion' is a generously sized, 3-level house perfect for groups of friends or 2-3 families to spend time together, or those who enjoy space.
The 'Moreton Mansion' is located above the Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort in the Bay View Estate, which overlooks the spectacular Moreton Bay. Guests can enjoy uninterrupted views from Brisbane City all the way to the Sunshine Coast and Glass House Mountains.
RESORT FACILITIES:
As part of the Tangalooma Resort, the Moreton Mansion has access to exclusive resort facilities which include:
- Beach side pools
- kids playground
- tennis courts
- Fire & Stone Restaurant
- The Coffee Lounge
- Beach cafe, Beach BBQ
- BB's Bar
- The souvenir/convenience store.

PROPERTY FEATURES:
This fantastic property is spread over three levels and is made up of:
- Eight spacious bedrooms
- Six bathrooms
- A separate powder room
- Panoramic views of Moreton Bay
- 400m walk to the Tangalooma resort
- Televisions on every level with DVD players
- Spa bath in the master bedroom
- Washing machines and dryers
- A kitchen on all levels
- Stereo

- Air conditioning and ceiling fans
The property is fully self-contained and can comfortably cater for up to sixteen guests at a time. The main kitchen is magnificently set out on the middle level with fully operational top quality appliances, utensils, cutlery, and equipment such as ice-maker fridge/freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher etc.
A barbecue is also conveniently located on a large deck overlooking the bay, from where guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the sunset. The kitchenettes on the top and ground levels enable guests to cook separately. They are fully equipped with fridges and cooktops and microwave ovens etc.
Laundry facilities are also provided with washing machines, dryers, iron/ironing board, clotheslines etc.
SLEEPING CONFIGERATIONS:
Top level - Max 4 guests:
- Bedroom 1 - king size bed with ensuite and walk-in w/robe
- Bedroom 2 - king size bed, spa bath, ensuite and walk-in w/robe
Middle level - Max 6 guests:
- Bedroom 3 - king size bed with ensuite and walk-in w/robe
- Bedroom 4 - king size bed and a double bunk bed with ensuite and walk-in w/robe
Ground Floor - Max 12 guests:
- Bedroom 5 - king size bed with built-in w/robe
- Bedroom 6 - king size bed and a single bed with ensuite and walk-in w/robe
- Bedroom 7 - two king single beds with built-in w/robe
- Bedroom 8 - one queen bed and two king single beds with built-in w/robe
GETTING TO MORETON/TANGALOOMA ISLAND:
Moreton is just over an hour by boat from Brisbane, Moreton Island can be accessed either by:
- The Moreton Island Adventures Micat Ferry. This is a daily barge boarding at Howard Smith Drive (Port of Brisbane) which can carry both walk-on passengers and 4WD vehicles. It lands at the Ship Wrecks, about 500m north of Tangalooma Resort. We recommend only booking this if you intend to bring a 4WD. The Micat Ferry does NOT operate on Wednesdays so please keep this in mind when booking accommodation. The Ferry needs to be booked directly with Moreton Island Adventures.
- The Tangalooma Flyer, boarding at Holt Street- Pinkenba for walk on Passengers only. There are usually 4 boat services operating daily. Please note there is a parking fee of $20 per day/$80 per week to leave your car at Holt Street wharf. The Flyer docks at the jetty, in front of the Tangalooma Resort. From here we recommend organizing the Tangalooma Resort shuttle bus that carries passengers and luggage from the jetty to the Moreton Mansion for a small fee of A$15.00 per trip. For Tangalooma flyer bookings please visit the Tangalooma Resort website direct. We can organize the shuttle bus if required.
GETTING FROM THE RESORT TO THE MORETON MANSION:
The Mansion can be accessed from the resort by walking steps or a sealed road. We can also hire a 6 seater golf buggy for ease of transport to the resort from the house.
The Golf buggy hire is $80 a day. For stays of 7 or more days the buggy hire fee is $65 per day. A $400 bond is required which will be returned within 48 hours of checkout.
EXTRAS:
- Golf buggy is available for hire $80.00 per day. For stays of 7 days or more $65 per day with $400 bond
- Additional guests- $80 per person/ per night (above 16 guests)
- Tangalooma shuttle bus from jetty to house - approx $15 each way- booked directly with Tangalooma Resort

This home was perfect for our large family celebration. It has everything you need for the comforts of home and more (except wine glasses) and getting to the resort was a bit of a challenge at times. An extra buggy from the resort is a must, although ours failed a couple of times!The sunsets were stunning from the balcony. We all had a great time and lovely memories were made.The given instructions and messages were very helpful from Kirsten. If you’re not sure about anything just ask. The ‘middle road’ to the Mansion was an interesting experience and we weren’t sure where we would end up… but we made it! A few things require a bit of maintenance but we would still give it 4.9 stars! It’s a beautiful place. We have friends visiting there in December …Thank you

We have just returned from an absolutely fabulous stay at Moreton Manor! It was a perfect house to fit our group of 14……the kids and adults were all so comfortable and enjoyed the different areas of the house including the deck with an amazing view of Moreton Bay! The entire booking process was so smooth from checkin to checkout and Kirsten was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. We hired the buggy which I would highly recommend as it made travelling back and forth to the resort very easy especially with kids. Overall wonderful experience and many memories made.

Was a great stay in the house. And made my 50th birthday even better having the family all together. Location was prefect and views amazing! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location, great views and very spacious. There is some activities as well such as pool and watching some movies on the massive televisions. There is a couple things that could’ve improved which I’ve give feedback directly but overall was beautiful and would stay again. Kirsten herself was excellent and very prompt with everything.
