About this cottage rental
The house comfortably sleeps 2 max 3. It is on the first floor with cellars underneath. A typical Galician kitchen and it's 'cocina economica' , a lounge with a pellet oven (central heating), contains a sofa bed and a bedroom with a large double bed . A bathroom with shower (hot) underfloor warming and downstairs access to a shaded garden with ample seating or sip a glass of wine on the balcony. Should it turn cold - no worries - just switch on the pellet oven (basic supply included). The property has been renovated to high standards but the 'old charm' has been painstakingly preserved. Ecological and sustainable materials have been used and Voltaic arrays do supplement the power usage.
Please note: We have always cleaned to a very high standard and now we additionally flood the rooms of the property with O3 (Ozone) and have a minimum of one day between guests.

We enjoyed a very nice space. The house is fantastic for what we wanted: a place from a power to discover the Sacred Riviera.
We felt right at home.
The house meets all the expectations described.
The deal with Barbara and Martin has been like we’ve known each other for a long time. They are very kind.

Die Ferienwohnung zu finden ist nicht ganz leicht gewesen, hat sich aber auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Begrüßt eotden sind wir von unsren deutschen Vermitern mit 2 Eiern, Tomaten aus dem eigenen Garten und einer Fladche lokalem Wein. Die Wohnung ist optimal zum runterfahren und wohlfühlen. Der nahegelegene Canyon bietet viele sehr schöne Ausblicke. Die Wohnung können wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehle.

We spent 7 nights in La Casa de los Flores and back home now we really miss the little balcony breakfasts with the cuckoo calling close by. But to give the best impression of what it is really like there in late Spring here are my notes from when we arrived. It’s a delight to sit out on the balcony as supper is cooking and watch the swifts swooping overhead. No planes, no trains, no cars – how different from London. We’ve spent an enjoyable afternoon stocking up on fresh fruit and veg in the local supermarket (Claudio’s) – free Spanish lesson thrown in, then off to the ironmongers (yes really!) for some good local red wine. We wanted to get away from it all and we have. Barbara &Martin have created a great OffGrid* bolt-hole for disillusioned townies needing a complete change. Their lovely upstairs flat for two has all we need for one week’s escapism in Galicia (If you need somewhere bigger talk to our lovely hosts about their newly refurbished Galician house 5 kms away) *I think maybe it’s mains electricity but everything else is impeccably Green – wood pellet stove, well water etc. Thank you Barbara & Martin for being the ideal hosts and making sure we got the maximum out of our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa de las Flores. It is a spacious property which is very well-equipped, and there were lovely touches like fresh flowers and a number of food basics, including some home-made produce. There was a lot of useful info with maps and suggestions for days out which we very much appreciated. And then there was the garden! I have never seen so many bees and butterflies. We were invited to help ourselves to some of the produce which we used for our evening meals.
