About this cottage rental
- O PALOMAR
- The house dates from the late eighteenth century, surrounded by mountains and large fields of the interior part of Atlantic Galicia, nestled in an open valley crossed by the Umia River in the municipality of Pontevedra de A Estrada, Tabeirós-Terra de Montes and in the parish of Codeseda, full of beautiful corners and landscapes.
- Distributed according to the traditional Galician architecture of the time, it consists of 2 buildings, which were previously used as houses, corral and haystack; with 2 and 4 double rooms, all with bathroom, heating and TV, on the top floor of the houses. The bedrooms are named after native birds such as Pomba, Cuco, Anduriña, Gaivota, Peto e Reiseñor.
- It has a kitchen equipped with the most modern appliances and dining room with lareira for recollection and talk to the heat of the fire. To the side there is the porch that consists of two heights: in the superior one with armchairs and night tables and in the inferior one with the ideal furniture for the tasting of the delicacies that leave the barbecue.
- The 4000 m2 garden surrounded by trees conserves the hórreo where the grain was stored, has a pool where you can enjoy sunbathing in the summer in a green Galicia and the little ones in the playground with swings and slide, there is also basketball and bicycle basket for all ages.
- A CASA DO AVÓ
- Very close to the house of O Palomar, about 50 m away, this unique construction from the beginning of the previous century is located, restored and enabled as a rural house in 2002 with all kinds of comforts respecting in every detail its Galician condition.
- It is an accommodation in the village that has 6 double rooms with individual bathroom, each one has its charm, all of them have heating and television. The bedrooms have names of Galician flowers in memory of the avoa that he enjoyed so much with them, such as: Xazmín, Camelia, Orquídea, Hortensia, Caravel and Margarida.

- Elegant and spacious living room with fireplace
- Reading room
- Board games room
- Large kitchen and dining room
- Garden with fruit trees and pool to enjoy in summer.
- Terrace and interior patio
- We also have extra beds and possibility of cots.
- The decoration has been made with part of restored furniture, antique objects and objects of today in an exquisite mixture, care has been taken to the maximum detail and harmony of the entire house.

We chose these properties for a major family reunion and to celebrate a number of milestone birthdays. we had family coming from Canada, France, Finland and Australia. To say the properties were perfect would not be misleading. The accommodation and facilities were excellent with the bonus of swimming pools and very large garden areas for the younger members of the family to play in and/or the adult members to enjoy relaxation and peace.
Francisco, our host, was exceptionally helpful in assisting us, and in suggesting good restaurants and caterer.
An added bonus was the fact that Codeseda is a very small town, 2 restaurants and a small general store, and the locals were warmly friendly with a smile and a warm 'hola' whenever we passed in the street. The proximity to A Estrada gave good access shopping for major food requirements while the small shop and the bakery in Codeseda was excellent for meeting day to day needs.requirements

We arrived late at night due to flights from the Uk . The owner had very kindly arranged access for us (1am ) both houses were perfect . I can’t fault anything about either of them . The village were amazing , providing us with provisions for 27 people for a bbq . The local cafe/bar/restaurant cooked us a fresh Paella for the same amount . Pepe the chef/ owner of the bar was amazing .
The swimmings pools were fantastic, we all gathered at the main house daily to eat , swim , relax and play games together . All rooms were well equipped, towels , bedding and pool towels . The kitchen had everything you need . There were games and dvds . The owner answered all our questions immediately. We will absolutely be back again , I can not fault anything
Take a walk to the waterfalls , very beautiful through the woods . There is also a village pharmacy if you need . The other bar/cafe provided us with breakfast / lunch , somewhere to watch the World Cup rugby . All in all everyone was very accommodating. Just perfect . Thank you

Viajamos un grupo grande de familias y utilizamos las dos casas.Un fin de semana maravilloso, tanto para los niños como para los padres. A destacar las facilidades dadas por el propietario,estamos muy agradecidos. El entorno es precioso.Volveremos.

Como usuario habitual de este tipo de establecimientos he de decir que es de las mejores en las que he estado, sino la mejor. Tiene todo lo que se le puede pedir a una casa para disfrutar en familia o con amigos. La zona del porche y de la piscina es una maravilla. En definitiva una opción fantástica para pasar unos días, con todas las facilidades y con un trato excepcional por parte de la gerencia.
