In Gaztelubidea you can enjoy a privileged natural environment, which houses an enormous diversity of landscapes and an endless number of natural and cultural treasures. We are only 15 minutes from La Rioja Alavesa wine area par excellence (Laguardia and El Ciego) 30mts from Vitoria, 1h, 30mts from Bilbao, San Sebastian and Pamplona
Gaztelubidea consists of 2 independent rural houses. Each of them with capacity for 6 people
Both can be joined by an interior access, with capacity from 8 people up to 12 places. Remaining as a single house, The dining room for everyone looking at each other
Each one of them, distributed in:
- 1 room with a double bed
- 1 room with two single beds
- 2 extra beds in the attic studio
- 1 full bathroom
- 1 toilet
THE HOUSE CAN BE RENTED BOTH COMPLETELY AND BY ROOMS

In the summer season, Bernedo has a complex of municipal outdoor swimming pools 5 minutes away on foot. These municipal facilities are equipped with picnic areas, grills, bar ... and everything you need to spend a perfect day. During the days of stay in the house passes for free admission will be given.

Casa muy acogedora, cocina completísima y si falta algo Margarita te lo proporciona, camas muy cómodas y pueblo muy tranquilo.
Estuvimos 10 días que fueron pocos ya que hay infinidades de sitios que visitar y cosas que hacer. Justo al lado de la casa hay un camino donde tienes varios senderos.
Parque natural de Izqui, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Hayedo de Otzarreta, Nacedero de urederra, via verde en Antoñana etc.
Los niños se lo pasaron genial y nuestra perrita correteaba tranquila, en la calle pasan pocos coches.
Y que decir de Margarita un encanto, una persona muy cercana y muy pendiente de que no falte nada, que estés cómodo.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay where we could explore some of Spain's picturesque countryside.
Gaztelubidea in the charming village of Bernedo provided an ideal accommodation. Our two children loved their twin bedroom with the little mezzanine area above, the beds were super comfortable, the bedlinen and towels were of great quality, the washing machine and tumble dryer both modern and working well, and the dishwasher (with dishwasher tablets) was an added bonus! The house was so well provisioned, it really was a home from home!
There is a good parking area right outside the house, and Marga kindly offered space in a barn to store our bicycles.
Marga proved to be the ideal landlady. She was completely flexible with our arrival time, helpful with recommendations on activities in the area, and provided the right amount of support. Our Spanish is not too good but we had lots of fun making great use of translation apps to communicate both ways!
The village swimming pool 5 minutes away was a definite highlight for the children - such a great facility for a small village!
In the few days were were there, we had a lovely time exploring the region, its villages and vineyards both on foot and on bicycle (there are some great flat trails for the children).
A splendid area, a lovely accommodation and a wonderful hostess.

Limpieza y equipamiento de cocina, baño... excelentes. Hace tiempo que no encontrábamos una casa rural con tantos detalles como secador de pelo, tostadora, jabón/champú, productos de limpieza (hasta pastillas para el lavavajillas), información exhaustiva para hacer excursiones....Trato inmejorable de los propietarios. Muy buena ubicación para hacer senderismo. Chimenea moderna, limpia, leña de sobra, y calefacción sin restricciones, imposible pasar frío. Agua caliente inmediata y sin problema para ducharnos (4 personas). Llevamos perro, ningún problema. Por poner una pega, que no tiene que ver con la casa, el campanario del pueblo tiene altavoz directamente dirigido a la casa, por la noche altera el sueño para quienes no estamos acostumbrados (la verdad es que el volumen es bastante alto). Pero la calidad de los colchones, almohadas y ropa de cama han ayudado mucho.
