Oak Hill Gerês, Portugal

The villa is like something from a bond movie. Very spacious and comfortable and the open plan nature makes is perfect for socialising. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful. There are lots of nature and water based activities close by. The owner Miguel was friendly and helpful. He brought fresh bread and croissants every morning. He was not intrusive in any way but was readily available to help if needed. We met his wife and daughter in Braga and they were lovely too. Eating out and water activities were so cheap compared to other countries. If you like being active in beautiful scenery, then this place is absolute perfection.

If I tried my very hardest to find something I didn’t like I wouldn’t be able to.

Simply a stunning property. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Miguel, our host was so attentive and thoughtful but not at all intrusive, bringing us pastries each morning and even guiding us on a walk in the mountains. Miguel was very knowledgable about the local area and takes such good care of his guests. It was a pleasure to stay here and get to know Miguel!

We stayed in the Quinta Geres with our 4 children during a week. Perfect size, we all got our spaces between the big house, the pool and the huge garden. Very clean, calm house. Superb view on the mountains.

Nothing really to add here about Quinta Geres itself. One thing you have to know when going to Geres is that everything takes a lot of time as roads are just mountain roads. It is for sure one of the most natural and authentic part of Portugal.
