About this house rental

3 Bedroom, 1 Bath unique, cozy, relaxed, clean and comfortable beach house located only a block from the beach! Walk over and learn to surf or enjoy each morning with a stroll on the beach. Our home is perfect for the laid back local Maui vacation and can accommodate long term rentals. Our space is about providing a local experience. We are located in a lovely, quiet, local neighborhood that is one block from the beach. This Main House includes an attached, separate space for us, the owners. As well there is a cottage in the back where other guests stay. Guests have their own private areas. We are within walking distance to Kalama Park, the Cove and Kukui Mall as well as shopping and restaurants.

Our listing is not child-proofed and contains tripping and falling hazards. It is also located close to a shared driveway. Due to these safety issues, our listing is not suitable for children under 10 years old (no exceptions.)

4 guests is the maximum. We do require guests to arrive before 9 pm as check-ins can be noisy and we are required to keep disturbance to the neighbors at a minimum. It takes a minimum of 1.5 hours from landing to arriving at the house without any delays so your flight would need to land by 7:30 pm. We recommend landing as early as possible to make sure you can arrive at the house for check-in well before 9 pm. We can often check in earlier than 4 pm. We cannot accept check-ins after 9 pm.

We like to give privacy to our guests during their stay, so if you need anything, texting is the best way to communicate. However, if you have lots of questions, we are here to answer them!

There is not an outdoor BBQ grill or use of grill on site.

There is an outdoor security camera that overlooks the driveway and entrance to the property. It does not monitor any private areas.

Policies:
Maui County Quiet Hours: Please be mindful of Maui County’s quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. If there are noise complaints, we will have to cancel your rental with no refund. No parties, events, or gatherings are allowed on the property. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries is prohibited at all times. Only registered guests are permitted on the property. If you have family or friends on the island, please meet them at other locations.

Short-Term Rental Agreement: Before your stay, we require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which includes the names of all guests and confirms that everyone has read and agreed to the house policies. Third-party bookings are only allowed when made through a company account. The maximum number of guests allowed is 4. We require guests to be at least 25 years old to book the property.

Damages: If anything breaks or gets damaged during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it.

Shoes: To help keep the house clean and per Hawaii custom, please remove outdoor shoes before entering the house.

Air Conditioning: For energy efficiency and comfort, please make sure to close all windows and doors when using the air conditioning, and turn off the AC when you leave the house.

Laundry: Laundry hours are from 8 am to 9 pm. Please avoid using the machines after 9 pm or before 8 am, and refrain from washing shoes, heavy items, overfilling the machines, or using laundry pods. Laundry soap is provided. Overfilling the machine can cause it to not spin out the water. Please keep sand out of the machines.

Check-in Times: Check-in is available between 4 pm and 9 pm. If you arrive after 9 pm, you may need to find accommodation for the night and check-in the next day.

Check-out: Check-out is by 11 am. If you'd like to request a late check-out, please let us know ahead of time as housekeeping will need to be rescheduled. A fee may apply if a late check-out can be accommodated.

Parking: Please park only in your designated spot to help keep things organized for all guests.

Car Horns: If your car horn beeps when you lock the car with the fob, we kindly ask that you lock it from the inside instead, as the beeping can be disruptive to our peaceful neighborhood.

Children: We welcome children 10 years and older to stay with us!

Pets: We cannot accommodate pets on the property.

No Smoking: There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the property, including vaping and e-cigarettes.

Trash: Please use the provided plastic bags for trash and follow the instructions in the binder for garbage day.

Food: To help maintain a clean space, please don't leave food out.

Hair Dryers: For safety, please only use hair dryers in the bathroom plug.

Cutting Boards: To protect our kitchen surfaces, please use the provided cutting boards instead of the butcher block island.

Sand: Before entering the house, kindly wash off all sand. You can use the outdoor hose and make sure to turn it off and release any pressure after use. Wet towels and clothing can be hung on the outdoor railings to dry, and once dry, you can easily shake the sand out.

Sunscreen: Please avoid using spray-on suntan lotion inside the house or on the deck. It clings to surfaces and is very difficult to remove.

No Open Flames: For safety reasons, we ask that there be no open flames of any kind (candles, lamps, grills, fireworks, etc.) on the property.

Check-out Procedures: Before you leave, please follow the check-out procedures in the house binder and message the host once you’ve checked out.

Just as described. Clean and well maintained. No frills but fully equipped. Hosts very responsive and engaged. Location is close to several Kihei beaches, some walking distance and close to shopping essentials. You will feel like a local and not a tourist in this lodging and this neighborhood.

The property is exactly as it's described in the listing. The beds are all the same with queen memory foam mattresses. Very quiet neighborhood. It's very convenient to restaurants and markets. Leanne was always helpful whenever I had any questions. We were greeted by her sister Mel who was very helpful explaining different things about the property. I can not recommend this property enough. You will not regret booking this property, highly recommend!
