Pool Villa Perivoliou walking distance to 4 beaches, near Mamma Mia Church

After spending a week in another villa, we moved into Villa Perivoliou as booked. Thanks to Anthoula's careful organization, we were able to stay in the first villa until the second villa was ready for check-in, allowing us to arrive in comfort. Shortly before reaching the villa, you turn onto a gravel road that leads quite steeply uphill, but it is manageable in first gear. Villa Perivoliou is idyllically situated on a hill in an enchanting landscape of olive and pine trees. We felt at home here from the very first moment; everything is bright and equipped with every comfort. What makes the villa special are the views from almost all the rooms and the two terraces—we really enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning, gazing into the distance to the sea during the day, and looking up at the clear starry sky at night. When a stronger breeze comes up, you can hear the sound of the sea, and when it rains, the whole garden smells of Mediterranean herbs – it's really beautiful here! A ten-minute walk takes you down to a “wild” beach, which we shared with at most one couple from another villa (in September), otherwise we had it all to ourselves; a fifteen-minute walk along a quiet road through a pretty pine forest takes you to the lovely Perivoliou Beach with a nice beach bar. Whenever (technical) problems arose, Anthoula, her father and brother and staff were always quick to help—they are wonderful hosts—thank you so much! We highly recommend Skopelos and Villa Perivoliou.

Simplicity and joy! Oftentimes, when reading reviews it is challenging to navigate others opinions and honesty. Not this time! Every review rings true. The house was perfect for our family of six (ages 22,20,17,14). My favorite review that I had read mentioned that their family’s favorite part of the trip was “coming home” to this lovely home after adventures around the island. We agree! We spent our days out and about and have memories from this home that will last forever. We loved it! The WiFi was on and off and better at certain times of the day. We had a lot of wind one night and quickly learned which windows to close at night. The screens in the full doorways are just dreamy. We also enjoyed the crystal clear pool. Thank you, Anthoula!

We had the most wonderful family holiday at Villa Perivoliou. Spending everyday looking out at the vast sea views, cooling off in the pool, and listening to the cicadas in the olive groves was just heaven. Anthoula's hospitality was wonderful! She provided so much useful information prior to our arrival, met us at the harbour to show us where to buy groceries and how to reach the villa by car, and provided everything we needed and more for a comfortable and relaxed stay in Skopelos. The location of the villa is breathtaking! The views, peace and quiet and amenities are ideal. Glossa is close enough to enjoy the tavernas, sights and amazing bakeries! You definitely need a car to get around and, although we mastered the steep driveway in the end, we wished we'd hired a 4 wheel drive car rather than a smaĺl Fiat Panda. It would have helped a lot to have a more grippy and powerful car for the driveway and Skopelos' windy roads. We drove to several beaches on the island but our favourites were the ones close to the villa. Clear, calm water for amazing snorkelling and hardly anyone around. You need to have decent mobility to reach some of them though. Skopelos is such a beautiful island - everyone is so welcoming and Glossa in particular has retained so much charm and authenticity. Staying at Villa Perivoliou and being able to return to the views, the wonderful pool, and the air con(!) made it such a perfect family holiday. Thank you Anthoula and Thomas!

The villa is very comfortable and well equipped. The beaches are gorgeous and not over crowded - our favourite was Perivoliou,near villa. Every day was different and beautiful but my favourite way to spend it was waking up and enjoying a coffee on the balcony watching the boats come. Thank you
