House / Villa - Denia

Overall we had a really nice stay - the accommodation was clean and had all the basics we required. The house had everything we required but don't expect the latest gadgets, everything works fine but is a bit dated. There is a small dishwasher in the kitchen area which was useful. The bedrooms are fairly small but big enough for our 10 day stay and have separate aircon - the beds were comfortable enough and bed linen provided - new pillows may help though! The covered terrace area was where we spent much of the time in the evening and is sheltered and secluded. The view of the Montgo is great. There is another house just below on slightly lower level and these neighbours were there, but were very quiet and discreet when we stayed. The pool is nice, not too big, but large enough for lots of family fun. There were others that used the pool when we were there but mostly had it to ourselves. The area is nice and quiet - a mix of local and second homes. The beach is walkable I dis one morning but is a good 30 mins and quite a hike on the return so bear that in mind - we used our hire car for nearly all trips as there isn't really any shops within an easy walk with bags in the Summer. I would say a car is a must for this location. Overall charming accommodation, could do with a bit of a refresh but that's reflected in the price. Everything works, the pool is great, Denia is a great town and the communication was excellent.

En dépit d'un contexte sanitaire particulièrement tendu, j'avais tenu à maintenir ma réservation dans cette sympatique villa dans les hauteurs de Dénia et je ne le regrette pas bien au contraire. Entre mer et montagne, l'endroit est idéalement situé et s'il faut nécessairement une voiture pour se déplacer, on est très vite rendu sur les plages ou en centre-ville. Et quel plaisir de pouvoir se rafraichir dans la piscine après 3 heures de randonnées ou une journée d'escursion ! Ce séjour de trois semaines m'a également permis d'apprécier ce quartier de Dénia et les fonds marins des côtes rocheuses toutes proches. Tant est si bien que j'ai finit par acheter un appartement non loin de là ! Merci à Mme Lafon de m'avoir permis de découvrir cette belle région et à Erwan pour la qualité de son accueil et sa disponibilité.

We had a great time staying here as a family of four (two kids under ten). The pool is for use by residents only but we were pretty much the only people using it. The access to the property is via the pool so we were able to put our sun loungers out and had an area to ourselves, fantastic and v safe. The house itself it basic, not luxury hence 4 rather than 5 stars but has everything you need for a great holiday including toys for young kids, loungers and pool equipment. One slight downside is the proximity of the neighbouring properties means you can hear the neighbours IF they are there. However it’s a very quiet neighbourhood (residential rather than holiday makers) and largely Spanish and French rather than English. You need a car but only a few mins to town centre and local beaches. Easy access to Mount Montgo for walks too where you can discover Pilgrims caves ... We had a lovely time and will most probably be back next year 😀

Cette maison n'est pas fait pour 6 mais pour 4 personnes ! Nous étions 2 couples et 2 ados et on n'était serré. De plus, à l'extérieur, il y a 1 table et 4 chaises donc les enfants mangés à l'intérieur. Les photos donnent un effet beaucoup plus grand. Une autre petite chose, nous sommes arrivés le dimanche et nous n'avons eu la Wifi que le jeudi soir. La Wifi n'est pas très puissante et le réseau non plus. C'est peut-être dû à la montagne. Points positifs : la piscine à côté de la maison, la climatisation dans toutes les pièces, quartier relativement calme. Par contre, les ustensiles de cuisine (plats, casseroles,...) sont succincts. On vient régulièrement dans la région et pour nous, le prix est bien trop élevé pour cette location sachant que la piscine est communautaire et que la plage la plus proche est faite de galets (il vaut mieux aller sur les plages de Dénia).
