Villa Mare&Monti Istra is a spacious 4-star private villa ideal for families, couples, friends, and solo adventurers. Perfect for all four seasons, it offers 240 m² of indoor comfort and 5,000 m² of private outdoor space.
Located below Mount Učka near Učka Nature Park, the villa offers peace, privacy, and stunning mountain views, while being just a short drive from Opatija, beaches, historic towns, and cultural attractions. Two traditional Istrian restaurants and a village shop are within walking distance.
The villa includes:
3 bedrooms + 2 extra beds
2 bathrooms + 1 WC
Open-plan living area with wood-burning fireplace & air conditioning
Fully equipped kitchen
Two covered terraces (south & northwest)
Guests enjoy exclusive use of the entire property — villa, private pool, terraces, and garden. Outdoor amenities include:
Wood/charcoal barbecue & sun loungers
Children’s wooden playhouse, trampoline, swing-slide
Table tennis & badminton
Bicycles
“Wild corner” with hammock
Built in 2016 with love and attention to detail, the villa is perfect for hiking, cycling, and nature lovers. Nearby local farms offer wine, cheese, honey, truffles, and more. Pets are welcome for an extra fee. Pool is open from 15 April to 15 October.
Our family lives just 15 minutes away and is always available while fully respecting your privacy. Guests are personally welcomed with a homemade plate of local products and a bottle of wine. Sustainability and respect for nature are important to us.

A great house and perfect location within the Ucka nationalpark. If you plan to recreate within the nature and travel through Istria, this a perfect go-to location. Moreover, Jelena and Davor are perfect hosts! I totally recommend this house which is fully equipped with everything you need during your stay.
We enjoyed each and every day during our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Mare & Monti and would thoroughly recommend it to families and groups looking for a modern well equipped villa in a beautiful peaceful location. We loved the pool and gorgeous scenery, eating meals on the terrace with the backdrop of the mountains. The house was really well equipped with everything we needed, had excellent air conditioning and felt really comfortable and welcoming. Our host Jelena could not have been more helpful with lots of advice of places to visit. There was a bottle of wine and plate of local ham and cheese waiting for us when we arrived and Jelena even brought us a big bag of fresh vegetables from her garden! Istria is a lovely part of Croatia with lots to do, particularly if you are into outdoor activities like walking, cycling and zipwires! Since it was so hot, our kids were more than happy just playing in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and splashing about in the pool. There were loads of inflatable toys to play with in the pool which kept them occupied. Thank you Skropeta family for your hospitality and a lovely holiday!
