Excellent location with all you need.

It was comfortable. I felt safe. It was well located. I stayed in two different rooms. The one could have benefited from cupboard space for hanging a dress. But overall a wonderful stay and I would recommend.

Mr Patrick was very helpful. The area was very safe and cosy to stay around.

The security available and the location of the property was very good.

There were some ants in the suite and executive rooms we were staying. If this could be treated and eliminated it would be perfect. Additionally if a second set of towels could be provided for long stays would be great.

Less than Average stayover.

Central location to where we wanted to be.

Too many ants. Too stuffy. No aircon. There is a small standing fan that helps a little. No coffee, tea or sugar yet there was milk placed in the fridge. If you use the crockery and cutlery, please wash them or you will be charged R100 if they have to do it. There is no dishwashing liquid or a sink to wash them. You have to use a very small basin in the bathroom.

Very close to shopping facilities.

A room full of old furniture very poor ventilation as in heavily curtained and dark, no aircon with a creaky old ceiling fan, old and grungy bathroom cubicle. Everything old and tired not an acceptable standard. It’s a good area of town I would expect much better, the room we were in needs a total revamp…….

It's a perfect stay for overnight or business but not for a holiday.

The location was good and suited my needs perfectly The bed was very comfortable, the room had most items needed It was clean and linen and towels fresh Warm/hot water for each shower

Shower head was not good at all, it needs replacing to make the bathroom experience better No cupboard or shelf to place toiletries in bathroom Hairdryer did not work; after two minutes, it overheated and could not be used until cooled so stopped using it after 2 attempts No bucket for dirty dishes and had to use bathroom sink to wash them Upstairs unit noisy No outside area to relax

I highly recommend this unit. The hosts are lovely. The venue is extremely central.

The location was perfect. Central and extremely accessible to all the surrounding shops, the garage and everything that one would need. A walk away from everything. Right across the road from Cavendish Square. This would certainly be my venue of choice when I visit Cape Town again.

The courtyard needs to be cleaned - full of fallen leaves that seem to be left and pushed aside. The bathroom was a little tight for me but it did the job. The rest we perfect.

Home Away From Home

Cozy rooms. Makes you feel like your at home . Staff are helpful. Definitely worth ever cent spend. Will go ahead anytime.

Everything in order. No real complaints. You literally feel like your alone on the premises. No disturbances at all.

Comfortable stay in good location with good hosts

Great location for my needs. Good communication with hosts. Secure parking. Good WiFi connection. Nice little kitchen with airfryer and microwave.

It would be nice to have a top sheet option as I do not like to sleep under full duvet cover especially if hot. The door leading to the kitchenette and bathroom cannot close as too close to bed. It would be nice to have blackout curtains or drapes along the front window as only a light coloured curtain. I had a ground floor end unit near the parking area. It was fine the first night but second night was horrible with noisy guests that I think might have been part of a large group in nearby units that were up very late past midnight with loud TV and conversations that started up again at about 6am on Sunday morning. There is very little sound proofing if any from the wooden floors above the unit with lots of walking around in unit above. I did notify the host around 7 am and the noise did settle down somewhat.

Stressful finding the place and no where to cook in our room! Only a microwave which we don't use!

This was just 4 mins walk from the dentist. It couldn't have been more convenient as a location. The view of the back of Table mountain was nice. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Safe car parking.

We had great difficulty finding the place as there was no name or sign. The GPS took us to the car park the other side of the block. When we told the man who let us in he said yes that happens. Why haven't they put this right? We had forgotten to write down the address and just used Satnav. Not a good idea. We were misled by the photos to believe we were getting a kitchenette. I didn't read all the info! My husband had just had dental surgery and I wanted to cook scrambled eggs as he wasn't allowed to chew. However there wasn't a hob, only a microwave which I don't use. We asked the man who gave us the keys and had let us in. He said he would go and find out if we could cook somewhere, but he never came back. We had to make do with yoghurt.

I checked out at 4:00 the outside light bulb at my door was out so I struggled a bit to get to the stairs in the dark. The rest of the way had light.

A Comfortable Stay

Everything was amazing, the addition of bedside sofa is great touch. Big shower and spacious bathroom.

No real kitchen but everything else needed for a cozy stay but the location and restaurant in walking distance made up for it.

4 night stay.

Everything was neat and clean. Also liked the fact that we were accommodated when asking for additional nights on the last minute.

We had a dripping noise by the main bedroom which was very annoying, and disturbed our sleep. When we called Cheryl regarding the matter we were told that is unfortunate and that the person who should come attend to the problem won't come out to fix it. Also we had to ask for a heater, which I think should have been available when we arrived as it is winter only 1 heater was provided and there are 2 rooms which were both occupied so the heater had to be shared.

In view of only one night the stay was good.

Location was very convenient for us and neighbourhood quiet & serene.

The fact that TV was advertised was misleading as there were no DSTV channels nor any streaming at all. This should have been disclosed in the ad, as well as on arrival. The interior décor of unit 5 needs urgent review. Carpets not in passable condition. There shouldn't be a reason why the bathroom / toilet area cannot be completely walled up to the ceiling.

Convenient, easy access to surrounding area and to the main roads to get into and out of Claremont

easy walking distance to Cavendish Sq shopping and restaurants in the area, safe, secure off-street parking, good facilities, if watching TV is your thing instead of going out to explore the city, then there are lots of TV channels to choose from on Netflex.

I usually stay in unit 1 or 2 downstairs which are more modern with more space and easy access. I stayed in unit 6 (2nd time), which is upstairs up a small flight of stairs. I struggled with the stairs getting my bags both getting up and down the stairs.

Perfect Stay.

Authentic Newlands is a popular stay and there's a good reason for it. It's located conveniently close to Cavendish and Newlands stadium. The host is very friendly and helpful. I've stayed here numerous times and I'll keep doing so in the future.

Suited my purpose and was good value for money.

Perfect for my needs. Walked to where I needed to be. Friendly reception from Patrick on arrival and good interaction prior to arrival with Cheryl, together with pin location and other information. Appreciated.
