About this villa rental
Villa Elvira is a splendid and luminous three-story villa built sheer above the sea. It sleeps ten people. From Villa Elvira you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. Villa Elvira is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, two spacious private terraces with a view of the sea, a private patio, a private garden, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the heart of Praiano, a few steps from restaurants and shops. You will find a number of restaurants at 500 meters (550 yards), shops a few meters (feet) away, the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus Positano - Praiano line at 20 meters (65 feet) and the closest beach at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile). You will reach Villa Elvira from the parking area along a short public walkway that includes approximately 38 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Elvira. If you do have one, you will be able to park it nearby, free of charge in a private parking lot. The parking space is suitable for at most one car.

Villa Elvira is part of the historical center of Praiano, which consists of a cluster of white houses on the highest area of a steep slope of a hill overlooking the sea. The houses are nestled around the beautiful bell-tower and the eighteenth-century church of San Luca.
In this area of Praiano, almost all the houses date back to the eighteenth century. They feature white facades often decorated with stuccoes, patios below masonry arches sustaining terraces facing the sea, and sloping gardens filled with flowers and citrus trees around. Walking through such extraordinary village, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO, means climbing narrow stairways and pedestrian streets. The whole area is made for pedestrians, except for the only access street to the main square. Here you will no find streets packed with tourists; all you will see are the kind inhabitants of the place. And you will be able to experience the fascination and authentic beauty of the Amalfi Coast: one not changed by the actions of tourism!
Villa Elvira is a few steps away from the main square, and it also features a private garage at the end of the pedestrian area. In order to arrive at the villa from the garage area, all you have to do is ascend a short 38-step staircase. The main square is a large terrace overlooking the coastal scenery.
Villa Elvira boasts the fascination of old Mediterranean houses built respecting the slopes of steep rocky lands. Both the house and the garden are distributed on three floors, and each level of the house can be reached both from the garden and from an indoor staircase.
On the highest area of the garden you will find the swimming-pool. The pool is surrounded by a terrace where you can sunbathe and enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the coast.
During your stay at Villa Elvira, you will be close to one of the most typical beaches of the Amalfi Coast, the beach of Praia. The beach spreads from the base of a narrow gorge enclosed by high rocky walls deeply incised by erosion. To reach the beach you can take the local bus which stops about 20 meters (approximately 66 feet) away from the villa.
However, don’t miss the chance of going to beach on foot at least once if you are in good shape: you can descend from the villa until the State Road through shortcuts consisting of stairways. Once you have crossed the State Road, you will have to go along a picturesque pedestrian foot path goes past the medieval Tower and descends towards the sea through a trail dug along the rocks. The breathtaking scenery will compensate the workout to go along the way. Rendering the walk even more pleasant, once you have arrived at the beach, are the small bars and restaurants which feature tables on rocks caressed by the waters of the sea…

The swimming pool is 3.5 meters (11 feet) large by 4 meters (13 feet) long, 1.7 meters (5.6 feet) deep. The swimming pool has the shape of a shell. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, sun umbrellas, deck chairs and an external shower. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea, of Praiano and the coast of Amalfi. The pool is open from mid-April until mid-October.

The first terrace is 35 square meters (375 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the first living room. It is partly shaded by a porch. It is equipped with masonry benches, as well as with tables, chairs and sun umbrellas. From the terrace you will enjoy a thrilling view of the sea and of Praiano.

The second terrace is 45 square meters (485 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with two deck chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea and of the coastline.

The dining table can accommodate ten guests. In this room you will find a large satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through two French doors.

The villa was the perfect place for our family to gather for our trip to the Amalfi coast to celebrate our son’s wedding. The living and dining area is spacious, bright and beautiful. The bedrooms, each with its own private bath, are large and offer privacy. The pool and terrace area are beautiful and the views are spectacular. We will cherish the memories made at this beautiful villa. The concierge service and frequent maid service were very much appreciated.
I cannot say enough about Summer in Italy! Every question we had was answered promptly and thoroughly. We were given all the info we could possibly need to enjoy our villa. I highly recommend Summer in Italy!!!

This beautiful villa was perfect for our family with lots of open areas to gather inside and out. The pool, built into the terrace with its gorgeous panoramic water view, is a wonderful feature. Summerinitaly.com was wonderful - answering all our questions promptly. The local property manager was fantastic - so helpful! The rental included frequent maid service and a gardener who helped with luggage. Praiano is a lovely, quieter village with a charming, rocky beach, , lots of lovely restaurants, convenient water taxis and friendly, kind local people. Be prepared for lots of steps in the beautiful villa and all the villages on the Amalfi Coast.

This villa is amazing. The photos do no justice. For our big family of 10, everyone had privacy and more than enough space. The views are gorgeous and the property manager was exceptional with communication and kindness.
The most helpful parts were accommodating our vehicles and helping with our luggage at arrival and departure. I don’t know how we would have managed without the assistance of the men who helped carry all of our luggage up and down!
Honestly, I can’t imagine anything more. This place is perfect!
This was a great experience and I will always refer people to book through Summer in Italy. We had all of the details we needed upfront, communication was excellent, the place exceeded our expectations and I only wish we stayed there longer.

We loved our stay at Villa Elvira. Plenty of space for everyone to relax. Clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing by. Close to public transport to make getting around easy.Would definitely recommend a stay here.I booked through you because I had never booked to stay in Italy before and you had good reviews. You have made the process very simple and your response time to questions was fast. Thank you.
