Private Villa in 1/2 Acre Of Sub-Tropical Gardens. Superb Sea Views & Large Pool

We have recently returned from staying in Kristina's villa for a fortnight starting in July 2022. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, and my mother joined us mid-way for what was an amazing holiday. The villa is beautiful - very spacious and well equipped - the rooms were all clean, the interior design is lovely with painted murals on some of the walls, and comfortable beds, linen and towels. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms and large main living space and much needed. One of the air conditioning units was not working on our arrival - Kristina liaised with us and the maintenance company promptly and with confirmation it was not fixable, a brand new one was installed during our stay - I would be reassured if there were other problems that might crop up (there weren't for us) she would be equally responsive judging from this experience. I would suggest locks on the bathroom doors, but the bathrooms were clean, and the water pressure great for showers. The patio area from the main living area is just like the pictures on the website! - incredible views, a big awning and comfortable sofas. Mosquito spray is needed as the temptation is to stay out there long into the evening! The pool is absolutely amazing - very large, well maintained and was the main focus for our days with sunbeds, an outside shower and a large sun umbrella! There is a room in the downstairs area, accessed from outside with a mixture of inflatables, and some parasols for the days when you might drag yourself away from the pool to go the beach! The nearest beach is directly down from the residential complex and accessed over a footbridge, about a 15 minute walk. The beach is pretty with palm trees, low key, the usual showers, and a restaurant that is popular (we hadn't booked) but they do sell ice creams too. There are some good walks in the area - we holidayed during the heatwave and only managed the one starting from Casares - the old town which is in the hills and worth a trip in itself, but in cooler weather there were a lot of fantastic typical Andalucian walks I would return for but not in July/August! Gibraltar is only about a 40 minute drive and worth a visit - a lot to walk and see on the Rock, all included in the price to go (it is a nature reserve) so worth going early in the day. The macaques are quite something and free range in the reserve! I would love to visit Kristina's villa again - it was a perfect holiday and she was a perfect host - thank you!

This was our 5th visit to the villa, and as usual we were not disappointed. The pool, the views and the amenities within the villa made for a fabulous two week vacation of rest, relaxation and family fun. Villa location is also superb, as we could go to the beach within minutes and eat at numerous local restaurants. The highlight for us is the outside space, the pool, being the biggest we have ever found for a rented villa holiday, the tropical gardens and the balcony area which is perfect for that end of day glass of wine while looking out to Gibraltar & North Africa. Superb!

Villa Danica offered me and my family absolute tranquillity. The children loved the huge, beautifully kept private pool. The parents enjoyed supping champagne on the upper terrace overlooking the Mediterranean sea to the African continent! My child watched spellbound as dolphins leapt behind a small shipping boat directly in front of us! Quite lovely. On arrival the villa was clean, refreshingly cool and with all of the beds made up. We had e-mailed in advance a shopping list which had been neatly put away in the fridge and kitchen cupboards. The owner had purchased a new smart 3D TV and dvd player since our last visit to this beautiful property, as well as broadband - this helped keep the youngsters entertained in the evenings. And were any of our group ever tempted to leave the comfort of the villa, the local beach or playa was a short walk down the hill. Numerous chiringuitos peppered the sands with the ability to walk along the beach for miles in either direction. We will definitely be back later in the year! Thank you.

Benoit B. Positif Villa avec une très belle vue. Le jardin est splendide et assure une tranquillité et une intimité. Villa très bien situé pour visiter la région. Négatif Trop de petits irritants ont nuis à notre séjour: - À notre arrivée l'eau chaude, un des climatiseurs, le grille pain et un moustiquaire ne fonctionnaient pas; - Il manquait un pommeau de douche dans une des salle de bain; - De nombreuses ampoules étaient brûlées (extérieur et intérieur); - J'adore cuisiné sur un BBQ au charbon de bois mais j'ai du arranger le support à charbon pour qu'il soit fonctionnel et les ustensiles à BBQ devraient plus adéquats. - Nous avons mangé tous les soirs à la table près du BBQ ce qui aurait pu être un point positif tellement le coin est charmant. Cependant, la table et les chaises à côté du BBQ devraient changées pour une meilleure ambiance (trop vieilles). Nous recommandons un accès à la piscine et au jardin autrement que par passer par les chambres. Conclusion J'ai loué plus d'une vingtaine de villas à travers le monde et c'est la première fois que j'ai demandé une ristourne (par principe) pour compenser tout ces irritants compte tenu du coût de location. Ristourne qui m'a été refusée car la propriétaire me prétendait ne pas avoir été mis au courant de ces problèmes avant notre arrivée. Cependant, quand je lis les commentaires de Patricia B. (précédant locataire, 2 semaines avant notre arrivée), il est clair que les problèmes étaient connu du propriétaire et que rien n'avait été fait pour remédier à la situation.
