Walking distance to many restaurants and breweries. Very quiet for being off the freeway.
Parking is confusing as there really is no parking lot for guests.

The Inn was conveniently located to all the Scottish Highland Games events as well as restaurants and stores. We walked everywhere. We were concerned that the rooms were next to the highway, but once inside our room we realized how quiet they were. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful when we needed coffee and water. We will definitely return to the Stagecoach Inn. We cannot stop talking about it to our friends.
There are. I issues with the property.

Historical gem. Spacious rooms. Staff very kind and welcoming.
Next to the interstate…. But where else would a stagecoach inn be?

good location, great air conditioning, comfortable bed and pillow, good coffee, very nice staff at front desk and maintenance.
Tv and room safe didn’t work. Maintenance finally got tv to work but we were no longer in room and did not need the tv. Saw roach and black bug in coffee area and bathroom.

gorgeous property and so laid back. I also love the staff - they are helpful, sweet, and down to earth. The style of the rooms and pool and everything is so unique!
Really, I have no complaints. It was summer so there were some wasps around but that's normal in TX

Relaxing surroundings. Not a cookie cutter place
Saw 2 roaches in r room. Also TV only worked on 1 station

Cool decor. I’ve been staying here over 20 years through different owners and renditions and the location and property present well. I do miss the cans of water in the rooms.
The mattresses need replaced. There is no parking directly in front of your room so be prepared for a little walk. Time to upgrade the towels.

We enjoyed our room and the pool and the grounds. They have done some nice remodeling. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. It was close to several stores and you could rent golf carts to travel to the stores that were further from the Inn.
We were going to have dinner at the Inn but after having breakfast we decided not to have dinner there. The biscuits were as hard as a rock. We were a little concerned about the evening meal. The restaurant was remodeled beautifully but we were at the Inn when it was nostalgic. We were a little disappointed that it was so modern and lost the charm of the early days. However, it was very nice.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the vibe of the place is super cool!
We didn't have a mini fridge or microwave in our room, which we found very strange and disappointing. I feel like those two amenities are a given in a modern hotel room (especially at $160 per night). Otherwise, it was wonderful, but we were disappointed in the lack of resources provided in the room.

Our room did not have a fridge or a microwave.
I will check on that when we come back!

The grounds were beautiful and clean. Beautiful foliage and outdoor amenities.
The staff was attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable!
Wish there had been more hooks in the room.
We were awoken by the upstairs occupants several times. The upstairs noise was excessive and disruptive to our stay.

The room itself was lovely. Beds were comfy. Spacious and clean. We were traveling late at night and decided to pull over off the interstate. This hotel popped up on Google. We paid about 135 bucks. Very dark area to park a car and dark to walk. On a positive note, when we got up in broad daylight, the little town looked amazing. Restaurants, Breweries, Art Studio, etc! I wish the Host would have told us about the little town's quaint shops while we were checking in. We had no idea!
We were traveling late at night and decided to pull over off the interstate. This hotel popped up on Google. We paid about 135 bucks. The actual room itself was a nightmare to find. Dark paths everywhere. Dark roads winding in our car and we probably did 3 circles of the property before we could find our room. VERY cold that night so we were super frustrated. It looks as if the hotel has MANY buildings and rooms. A crazy maze for sure! If I were in management, I would make sure the host guides you with a golf cart or whatever to your room!!! Problem solved! Host could have done this bc there were hardly any guests there on this cold winter night. On a positive note, when we got up in broad daylight, the little town looked amazing. Restaurants, Breweries, Art Studio, etc! I wish the Host would have told us about all of the town's restaurants and breweries and etc....

There were dead cockroaches all over the room. There was no daily fulfillment of coffee or bottled water. The coffee pot was in terrible shape. The toilet was dirty when I first arrived at my room. And my credit card was charged again when I checked in. Even though I had prepaid weeks in advance for the three night stay.

Location was great - right in the heart of things. Short walk to just about anything you'd like to do. Really unique and cool entrances to the rooms, great over-look on the courtyard area, looks like during spring/summer it's even better for family events, etc.
We were in a building toward the back of the property; the building next to us was clearly out of service for repair, etc. I'm sure this was planned and it didn't take away from the stay. Also, maybe it was because it was night - but it took us a loop around the property to figure out where to check in, it was a little confusing until we figured out the lay of the land.

A quaint, boutique lodging experience. An interesting layout in the multiple buildings. Despite a certain rustic charm, the facilities were modern and updated. Great water pressure in the shower which was not the case in another, supposedly MORE modern location during this trip. The staff at the desk was friendly and helpful. I asked for a recommendation for a meal and she immediately provided one. I ended up checking out the local pizza instead (which was pretty darn good!), but I was appreciative of her responsiveness.
The parking situation is not great. I was a bit nervous having to pull over to one side around a rather narrow circular road. Given the location, though, I suspect alleviating that would be next to impossible. The couch was kinda weird; more like it was intended to be kind of like a futon intended to double as a bed. It was comfortable enough to watch tv.

The location was great and the hotel aesthetic was cool, but the challenges made me question staying again in the future. I will say several of the front desk staff were super helpful and accommodating in that we came to stay due to a family medical emergency and they were generous in offering a discounted rate and honoring a retro book 2 and get 1 night free with us. Additionally, my young niece was stung by a bee while playing at the creek one evening, and the young man at the night desk was very gracious in providing us ice and some first aid supplies. The pool was super the one day that we were able to use it, and we had looked forward to using the complimentary bikes on the property but ran out of time unfortunately. The location is excellent and you can easily walk to nearby shops and restaurants. Other places are literally a few minutes drive from the property. Our room overlooking the pool had a really cool and relaxed vibe. We loved the rainfall shower, balcony with pool view, and the amazing bed that was super comfortable especially after sleeping days at the hospital leading up. The town and nearby creek are very cute with lots to check out.
We experienced being double charged due to paying ahead via book.com and then upon arrival we were charged again on our credit card despite explaining we booked and paid ahead online. Additionally, the restaurant/pool bar was closed for renovations for the entirety of our 3 night stay which unfortunately a big part of why we booked this hotel. The pool was closed half the stay which was also disappointing as this was a major part of the trip my young niece was looking forward to. Lastly, we asked for housekeeping midway through our stay, and was affirmed over phone for full housekeeping but upon our afternoon outing return, we came back to a housekeeping bag placed on our bed with sheets, towels, garbage bag, and additional coffee, soap and lotion) but no housekeeping service was provided in our room what so ever. I called the front deck and was told it must have been an oversight. I asked if they could send someone to come retrieve our overflowing trash and take our dirty towels, and was told to place the items on the front porch. Very frustrating in addition to not having the room attended to for bedding or cleaning. After dinner we returned to our dirty towels and trash still lingering on the porch. I called back and the desk sounded exasperated in being asked to come retrieve these items but they did finally do so. In checking out, I requested a discount considering multiple challenges in our experience, and they took off a whopping $25 from our 3 night stay. Lastly, I needed a printed receipt for business purposes and have yet to receive days later. Overall, this was not the overall expectation or customer service standard, one would one expect from a Bunkhouse property (which prides itself on "indulgent" experiences at unique boutique properties). We specifically booked this property coming from Austin and being familiar with sister properties, and expecting a similar vibe and experience, so overall I was bummed out at so much lacking here.

We did not eat on site
Only thing I would say is there were lots of “Rolly Polly’s”. If there could have been a quick sweep before our arrival? Not a deal breaker or negative though. Also, feedback in reviews about noise were a concern when booking but this a great place! Yes, its location is older and close to the highway but the noise is kept at bay when you close that door!

Nice to get away for a few days
Door in bathroom didn't close; not enough towel/wash rags available for 3 women for 2 nights; parking was not good; hard for senior adults to carry luggage to room with the way parking is.

the property was very secluded in a small quiet town. it had gorgeous views of salado but itself was covered in full grown trees and shrubbery that added to the spookiness of the area
I loved everything!!
