About this cottage rental
Set in one of the most picturesque and romantic Cotswold villages, this stylish and luxurious cottage is nestled in the heart of the village with stunning scenery, a beautiful river, lovely walks and a terrific pub with great food!
The entrance to Pound Cottage is through a lobby/storm porch (for your coats and boots).
The Living Room full of sophisticated charm with a designer sofa, three stylish armchairs, wood burning fire, flatscreen TV with Freeview TV and DVD player.
Overlooking the garden, the country-style/ state-of-the-art kitchen has everything you need from dishwasher to Nespresso machine! Bi-fold glass doors open out onto the patio, creating the perfect indoor/outdoor experience for entertaining on those delightful summer evenings.
On the first floor, the Master Bedroom is tastefully decorated and has charming views. It provides a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
The second bedroom is another double with an en-suite and has stunning views across the River Eye.
The top floor bedroom is quite simply stunning - it offers a double bed, captivating views and a sophisticated marble bathroom with a luxury waterfall rain-shower and claw footed bath.
The cottage garden is simply charming, very private and quintessentially Cotswold.
There is plenty of space for entertaining whilst enjoying the idyllic surroundings.
Please be aware, there is only 1 car parking spot reserved for our cottage. If you plan on taking multiple vehicles, we suggest car pooling or there is additional parking on the adjacent street next to the church.

The location was fabulous ! You couldn’t ask for better. Gorgeous little village opposite a fabulous pub with loads of lovely surrounding dog walks. We had a great time which is why I gave 4 stars but I would only give the property 3 stars.The pictures are very deceiving, in fact I don’t think the lounge has any of the furniture in the picture at all. The replacement sofa is rigid and uncomfortable and the general condition of the property is very tired. Dirty walls, pealing paint and wall paper, stained carpets to name a few. The 3 beds are standard doubles so very small and the mattresses low quality. The bedding is clean but dated and over used. The top bedroom is hazardous with so many low beams. You have to get in and out the bed at the base or you’d hit your head. I did several times and I’m 5ft 4. I have a huge egg on my head ! The garden is nice but a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. The kitchen is great and very well kitted out with everything you need! If you have children and don’t want the stress of a perfect residence to keep immaculate it’s perfect. Quaint little cottage in need of some TLC !

Idyllic location in Lower Slaughter. The perfect place to experience the heart of the Cotswolds with Kiwi friends. Walking from the door. A well equipped kitchen. Pleasant outdoor space to sit in the evening. Communication with our host gave us all the information we needed. Plenty of hot water. Lovely en suites. Definitely recommend!Thank you

We had a very disappointing initial lack of interaction with our host. He addressed his initial message to me the day we were to arrive but a different first name. That message included a code for the key. I responded thanking him but corrected the name and said, I want to make sure all of this info including the code is correct because the name is wrong. He never responded. We got there at 8:30 pm and it was pitch black. The code was wrong. He never responded to repeated messages. The neighbors were the ones to come over and they couldn't get it but called the cleaner who gave us the proper code. The property was nice and Lower Slaughter is lovely. The host needs to get their act together a little more and be on top of it. These prices aren't inexpensive and the people visiting shouldn't have to be lock picking or relying on neighbors.
