Friendly host, great stay for climbers

The host was really friendly, and the kitchen was well stocked in terms of cooking equipment and storage. The shower was hot. The grounds and pool area were lovely to relax in.

Home away from home with a pool near Fontainebleau

The host was wonderful and allowed us to check in early . The room was spacious with a large ensuite, including bathtub. The shower was hot (give it 2 minutes to get there). The bed was extremely comfortable. The shared kitchen had everthing you would need.. The pool was lovely on a hot day. The house was very quiet and peacful. The location was a ten minute drive to the beautiful village of Barbizon, with lots of cafes, restaurants, and bakery. The larger town of Fontainebleau was a short 15 minute drive away. Both well worth a visit, including the Chateau gardens. We would love to return in the future. Maybe for the next Django Reinhardt Music Festval 2027??

Only minor things. Room 3's bedroom light is faulty and flickers on and off. The bed sheets could do with an updating. The toilet flush sound is very long and noisy/loud.

Disappointing

The bed was comfortable and the common spaces (kitchen, dining & living room) were well equipped. We particularly liked the kitchen.

The bathroom in our room was unsanitary. There was a limestone deposit inside the shower (and on the shower head that was black in places) and inside the toilet.

I would definitely come again on another bouldering trip! Perfect location and friendly host :)

It was so close to lots of bouldering crags. We only had to drive up to 10 minutes. Very well situated if you are a climber. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed and the cupboards were spacious. It is dog friendly as well which is a huge bonus to us. The carpark is pretty spacious too. The host was very friendly. Great value for money.

Clean, tidy, and beds were really comfortable! The host was very polite and gave us a tour of the place. Also we met a couple of dogs on the property which was great! :)

A good, peaceful place to stay in the Forest of Fontainebleau.

The location is practical, particularly for those who visit for climbing. Plenty of parking space. Friendly owner. Great, relaxed atmosphere.

The sound insulation of the walls might be better.

Gemütliche Unterkunft mit sympathischem Konzept

+ Der Betreiber war auf Anruf hin direkt vor Ort und hat uns alles gezeigt. Das ist mittlerweile leider alles andere als selbstverständlich. + Das Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet und relativ groß, das Bett eher stramm, aber bequem. + Das Konzept mit der großen und gut ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche und angrenzenden Aufenenthaltsräumen fanden wir sehr sympathisch. + Die Lage hat für unsere Wanderung gepasst. Was man direkt vor Ort ohne Auto hätte machen können, damit haben wir uns nicht beschäftigt.

- Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Aus der Dusche kam nur sehr wenig Wasser.

Wir überlegen uns schon, wann wir wieder das Heartwood buchen wollen.

Die Lage ist perfekt um in viele Bouldergebiete zu kommen. Einige lassen sich zu Fuß erreichen, andere mit dem Rad oder in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto. Wir hatten mit vielen Freunden alle Zimmer und so mit auch das gesamte Haus für zwei Wochen gebucht und können dieses nur weiter empfehlen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, das Esszimmer hat einen groß-genugen Tisch und auch im Außenbereich findet man ausreichend Platz. Wenn wirklich alle zusammensitzen wollen, würden ein paar mehr Stühle nicht schaden. Der Pool ist super und zur Sicherheit eingezäunt. Auch die Grillstelle am eignet sich hervorragend für einen gemütlichen Nachmittag. Mit den Kindern war es wichtig, dass das Tor zur Straße geschlossen werden konnte und diese so einen sicheren Spielbereich hatten.

Besonders in den Erdgeschosszimmern würden ein paar Regale für Kleidung das Ordnung halten erleichtern. Sonst gibt es keine nennenswerten Punkte.

nous étions 5, pour moi, c'était bien

Le principe d'hébergement est sympa mais les gens ne respectent ni le lieu ni les autres occupants ; la vaisselle n'était pas rangée et la propreté laissait un peu à désirer, la présence des chiens n'arrange rien. .

Revoir le système de chauffage, les chambres étaient trop chauffées
