Good time, outstanding view, well equiped. Would like affordable conditions for summer period

Our families had a great week's holiday ‪here and ‬we thought in general it was good value for money.  Here are a few comments which may help both the owners and prospective clients to make the experience easier and even more enjoyable. There was no problem dealing with the owners and they responded quickly to requests for information and when we asked for room fans.  The description should change as follows regarding the ground floor bedrooms: “1 bdrm with a double sofa bed (140x190) with TV with Freeview and DVD player” should reflect that it is actually 2 single beds.  If it is not currently in the description then it should be noted that a car is essential. The location is very good.  Sanary is a nice characterful town.  The views from the back of the property over the sea are truly stunning. The pool is an excellent facility and a godsend for us in the very hot week we were there.  The nearest beach, Plage de Beaucours, is pebble with a lifeguard and about 5 minutes walk from the property.  There is no safe direct beach access from the property-you have to go by road.  The grounds are a bit unkempt and not safe for small children when unsupervised. There should be starter pack of washing liquids, soap, mosquito and insect aerosol sprays and coils, toilet rolls etc. We had to buy all these items on the evening we arrived and were lucky to find a shop open.  There should no extra charge for bed linen and towels.  This should all be part of the overall price.  The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery but is a very small space.  White goods worked well. The property is 1960s and has not really been updated.  We enjoyed the rustic feel but some people might feel it was of a poor standard. However the beds were comfortable and plumbing worked fine.  The week we were there (last week of June 2019) was very hot and the upper floor bedrooms were difficult to sleep in because of this.  Ideally proper fitted air conditioning units should be supplied in all rooms.  The current system of fans is not adequate in hot conditions. We also think the property needs more power points and in light of the level of mosquitoes during our trip they should fit fly screens on the windows. The locks should be changed to number code ones or there should be a key box or a local person to hold the keys. Sending keys by post should not be necessary.  Its an extra nuisance nobody needs! 6 adults 3 children Stayed June 2019
