Great clean room! Views were awesome

We have stayed at Surfside the past few years and this condo is by far the nicest we have had the pleasure of renting. I can't say enough good things from the easy communication with the owner to the breathtaking views from the balcony.You will not be disappointed!!

FIRST, check-in process was a nightmare! We arrived on a Sunday evening (after 8pm), & owner instructions were to get parking pass, pool/beach entry codes from front desk. I called her and told her no one at front desk. She just said to look at the paperwork she sent me and that she would text me the room code and we could worry about other items the following (Monday) morning. Guess what, no one at front desk ALL DAY Monday. The on-site VACASA Real Estate Agent finally asked if he could assist my husband, and he was able to provide other codes/docs. Condo owner was of no help at all, so we did not bother reaching out to her. Everywhere else we've ever stayed all instructions/codes were in final communication 24-hours prior to arrival, and all documents needed (parking pass(es), property bands, etc.) were in the room) Anyway, things were downhill from there. On more than one occasion the lobby reeked of weed! Not a lingering smell, but like we just missed a pot party in the lobby. That should tell you everything you need to know about the primary property demographic. The unit itself is just what the owner says it is - an overpriced hotel room. The only redeeming quality is the balcony and view. Must be what you're paying for. Believe the photos, then take them down another notch. DO NOT BELIEVE "UPDATED" She must consider the newer ceramic tile from entry to end of hall/kitchenette/bathroom vanity area. The bathroom (toilet/shower area) also appreared to be newer. Absolutely every single piece of furniture, bedding, decorations, cabinetry and dishes are nothing more than garage sale or Goodwill hodge podge. The flooring in the sleeping area was original to the condo. The shower area still had the socket outlet in ceiling where the old light fixture used to be (pretty sure not to code). Also, while this is probably not an issue for most, it is for me and it bears mentioning. This is an adjoining room, and the owner of this condo does NOT own 702! I am a veteran with PTSD & adjoining rooms are a major trigger when I do not know who is in the other room. When staying at a hotel, I always make sure that I request NOT to be in an adjoining room, but never in all our years of renting a condo have I ever had this. TV did not work for several evenings and I hope your comfortable with the sink you brush your teeth in being same sink you wash dishes in. We did not use dishes. OVERALL COMPLETELY UNIMPRESSED - DO NOT RECCOMMEND!
