About this villa rental
Three + two bedroom Villa located in the center of Vila de Altura, about 1km from Praia da Altura. Guests can walk to the beach, the daily market and shops. It has a private pool, garden, parking for 3 cars. It is well furnished and has air conditioning in all rooms. Outside there is a shower, barbecue, bench with sink and hot water. The entire fenced exterior has terraces and awnings. Linen included and wifi available.

Summary of reviewsThe house in Altura is very comfortable and well-furnished with a fully equipped kitchen and bright, airy bedrooms. The outdoor kitchen under the bougainvillea is a lovely touch. The hosts are warm and welcoming, making it a great choice for a stay near beautiful beaches, restaurants, and cafes.

Positives- Altura is a great location which is walkable from the house, the beach is beautiful (we saw a gecko). There’s a large supermarket within walking distance. The hosts were very nice and great communication with them. The pool was good.Negatives- There were 9 of us staying and we didn’t feel the house was equipped for that- there was only one umbrella for the pool and in the heat of the day you couldn’t have everyone sat next to the pool. There weren’t enough sunbed mattresses for everyone. There was only proper one wine glass. There were no basics such as black bin bags other than the one in the bin on arrival. For the price I felt that it would have been good to have beach towels which aren’t included. The house is next to a main road and roundabout which is pretty noisy but fine with some music to drown out the noise. Overall the house is a little dated, for example the front awning was mouldy from the air con dripping down it. In summary- the location is great for getting into Altura, the house is missing some basics that should be easy to sort out but it did detract from our stay- having said that we had a lot of fun and there’s a great beach bar which is amazing to hang out in for evening/ sunset.
