The choice at breakfast was exceptional, but three times we requested a boiled egg and they were undercooked. In fact, on the last morning they were raw and inedible! The evening meals were superb and reasonably priced.
The location is excellent and very close to the beach. Observation of restrictions regarding COVID-19 were generally well observed, although some of the younger guests were not wearing masks and were not challenged!
The WiFi was appalling. The password indicated in the room was incorrect and we had to go to reception to get the correct one and it still didn’t work. The most we got during our stay was two bars! The publicity for the hotel states that “Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel”! Not true!

We highly recommend the Piccolo Hotel! The location is wonderful, as it is within easy walking distance to the beach and two wonderful seafood restaurants. We slept through breakfast the next morning due to jet-lag. No problem, the kitchen staff were extremely gracious and immediately set us a special table; providing breakfast, expresso, the works! They even gave us a second expresso, which we enjoyed on the terrace outside. The usual important features were also top-flight; room was clean, came with extra blankets, lovely communal family room, elevator, free and convenient parking. We will return!
