Villa Under Meteora

A really spacious apartment with amazing outside space and view of the mountains. A warm welcome from the owner/manager with a fire set up for our arrival. Walkable to town, albeit through a partly unlit, unfinished road which we didn't mind.

The wifi was slow and bedrooms can be cold without heaters.

Even though we stayed here for one night, it was exceptional. We did the check-in ourselves without the need for the host. The villa is big enough to fit ten people. Being close to the mountains, the view from the villa over the town was splendid.

The roads that lead to the villa are very abrupt and made of dirt and rocks.

Beautiful, very well equipped. Location is great.

The view is amazing, the house is huge and clean, and it is very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is located on a hill and on a dirt road, so it's not walkable. Other than that, it's a really good house.

Arriving there, we made a phone call and we were given instructions on how to get the keys. No contact with any person whatsoever. Got in the building, there was another flat on the top floor and one more on the lower floor. The flat was very bright and spacious and excellent for a bigger group. It had four big bedrooms and a large living room and a nice kitchen.

We booked this accommodation well in advance preparing for our wedding. Due to heavy rain in the area that caused unimaginable flooding we had to postpone our wedding and our plans changed within a night. We had multiple reservation all across the city of Trikala which was majorly affected and all other hosts and hotels gave us a full refund without any penalties due to the circumstances. We explained to the host on the phone that our guest would be unable to to even drive to the town of Kalambaka due to flooding on the major roads as well but all he cared was the money that he would lose. He told us to rebook the accommodation for another date so non of us would lose money. We tried to do so but the extra charges for two night in the beginning of December would be 650£ on top of the 330£ we had already paid. In a very calm and polite manner we spoke with him again and explained that what happened was beyond of our control and that we wouldn’t be able to rebook for such a high amount, he laughed and did not care. He kept mentioning that he would lose money due to the high cost of heating. Giving us a refund, even half of it since the accommodation would remain empty seemed absurd to him. Appalling behaviour and appalling service. At the end, myself and my future husband got the keys and stayed there one night, out of the two booked so we can give an honest review. Access to the property is through a rough road which is layed with gravel, a lower car would definitely not make it up the top. Clean and modern. Had everything we need. Very good value for money.

Only one air conditioner in the living. It was not too bad at night with fans in all room, but would have been useful to spell out in the description.
