Villa il Carrubo 100 meters from a unique and unspoiled sea

Initial impression - absolutely breathtaking. Wonderful views, beautiful rooms with balconies, and great onsite amenities. However, a few things need to be attended too. Everyone in my group is in the 70's and above age range. Extra caution has to be used at this site at our age. Stairs to 2nd floor are very steep and narrow. On the outside deck, one of my friends fell twice, landing on his knee the 2nd time, and luckily avoiding serious injury. Didn't see a step on the outside patio. Think perhaps the step should be more visually noticeable as its all the same colored tile. Tile throughout and as it rained when we were there, tile got very slick. We didn't realize that toilet paper could not be flushed until we got to the property. This is the only place out of 5 that we stayed in on Sicily where this occurred. Think it should have been noted on their site. Had a problem with the toaster. Turns out it only has one plug that it can go in. We didn't have hot water after our 2nd day. Turns out we inadvertently turned off the hot water heater on a switch. We could easily have turned it back on if we had known; however, nothing was mentioned and it wasn't noted in the home manual. All in all, I think the lodging was beautiful. I think the owners need to clarify a LOT of things on their vrbo site and their onsite manual. Maybe they're new to this?? If the above items were addressed I would whole heartedly suggest this site as it was really a beautiful spot.

Wir waren 5 Erwachsene mit unterschiedlichen Interessen (Strand, Kultur, Entspannung, Kochen, Naturwanderungen…) und sind alle auf unsere Kosten gekommen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da das Haus etwas abgeschieden liegt, haben wir uns zentral in Licata getroffen und sie haben uns hingeführt. Perfektes, wunderschönes Haus mit allem, was man braucht. Strandempfehlung mit super Sandstrand (Liegen und Schirm) im Nachbarort Mollarella. Kultur in Agrigent (oder weiter weg), Natur direkt vor der Tür, gutes Essen in Licata. Das tolle Sommerwetter Ende Mai hat die gute Laune noch verstärkt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Liebe Alessandra, lieber Angelo. Wir durften wunderbare Tage an einem wunderbaren Ort verbringen. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Bei einem wirklich kleinen technischen Problem ward Ihr sofort vor Ort und habt geholfen. Danke dafür noch einmal. Überhaupt war die Kommunikation mit Euch tadellos. Alles in allem ein traumhafter Ort mit sehr guten Vermietern - für einen traumhaften Urlaub. Danke!

We stayed for three nights but would loved to have stayed longer. Unfortunately we had to get to out next place.The villa was clean and tidy and had just about everything we needed. We didnt travel too far since we loved the ocean view and sat on the patio a good bit of the time. Not all the properties have washing machines but this one did. It would have been nice to have had a toaster available but this would be my only negative comment.DWP
