An excellent stay, provided everything we needed. Very comfortable and well presented.

The cottage was in an excellent location, with lots of facilities on the doorstep. The accommodation was perfect for our needs as a family group with a couple of my son’s friends too and dog friendly. Everything was very clean and well presented. Great parking facilities too. Near to a couple of lovely cafes located next to the river.

A relaxing stay in the heart of the real England as it used to be seventy years ago before Brexit.

I know Langport, it is a beautiful town settled in the county of Somerset, wonderfully picturesque with verdant lanes and roads. Real Picture Post card material. 2 Smiths Cottages was perfect.

Nothing really, suppose the constant roadworks and the general state of the roads. The cost of living is savage, everything is 20% more expensive than Ireland.

Comfortable and clean mini-break

A lovely two bed apartment with a well equipped kitchenette. Tea, coffee and until milk cartons, washing up liquid tea towels and hand soap all were welcome additions! The beds were comfortable and clean with lovely bedding. Close to local amenities and takeaways.

A slightly off smell from the kitchen area but advised host so this will be looked into.

The keys were in the door. The place was neat and tidy. Comfy bed. Quiet place. Free parking within the property. Nice host.

Hidden gem

Fabulous, quirky and had everything you would need. Fabulous location. A hidden gem.

Only thing I can mention is you can hear the road. Who would have known how busy that road would be lol. So I did wake up as a result. But other than that loved it.

Lovely clean, quiet Historical courtyard accommodation in the heart of Langport with welcoming hosts

We where visiting the village for a medical appointment and so this was the perfect location for us. We where given very clear instructions for our arrival and we found the lovely little courtyard with ease. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped and the beds comfortable. Even with my bad back, I slept well and woke up refreshed. We where very thankful for the addition of the fans as it was very warm at night when we stayed. We found that even having the apartment next to the road the double glazing meant that the road noise did not bother us at all. Although we didn't use the courtyard while we stayed it was a lovely little haven and would be nice to sit out in the evening and let the kids play on the small swing set and look at the little fish pond. There is a lovely walk along the river not far away and the pottery café in the square is also worth a visit. We have recommended to several friends that are looking to visit the area that they should stay at smith cottages, we thought it was lovely. Also if you like your history, this is definitely worth looking up!

We where not impressed with the Chinese take away across the road! As for the accommodation - I don't anything bad to say!

Lovely apartment very roomy excwllent facilities and also staff were so freindly great surroundings in the town centre and countryside all around.

An amazing peaceful stay in a beautiful cottage.

Lovely helpful hosts. It was a very peaceful and convenient area to be in with local shops and high street nearby. The cottage was very clean and really enjoyed our stay there.

There is nothing that I was not happy about everything exceeded my expectations. My son absolutely loved staying there as well.

Good location and easy to get to many tourist attractions. We have stayed here before and chose it again because of it's location and convenience to the town. The Indian restaurant near by is excellent.

We would have preferred a shower unit rather than a shower over the bath as my husband finds this impossible to use. Would also have preferred a double bed rather that twin beds, but I can understand why this is provided. I found that the mattress gave me back ache but I am used to a firmer mattress at home and the settee is probably due for replacement as it is not overly comfortable.

We have stayed in this flat several times, therefore this tells you that we enjoy it here and the location is great for walks, shops and fishing.

The traffic noise is the only downside to staying here but this obviously isn't the fault of the owners.

3 nights in Langport

The photos of this property dont do it justice the property inside courtyard area is lovely. The cottage was very comfortable . The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The Cottage is spotlessly clean and well equipped , its set in a very nice area , lovely shops and bakery and close to Glastonbury. The Cottages have a pleasant outdoor area however it wasnt quite warm enough to sit out. Our two little pugs were made welcome and there are very good dog walks close by which the owner pointed out to us. I would highly recommend this property.

the only problem and its nothing to do with the property is the road noise. I sleep with the windows open so the the busy road noise started early around 5am. I should of realised this as it clearly states on a main road. Also if the lunatics that used the road stuck to the speed limit then it may have been a less of a problem. this would not put me off staying again I would just expect it this time and may take ear plugs.

A few basic essentials would be handy especially for late arrivals. Parking was a slight issue as 8 parking spaces but only one available when we arrived with two cars.
