Charmante Home with Garden

The location is great for travelers interested in exploring the “Città del tufo” - Sovana, Sorano, Pitigliano. It is close to Terme di Saturnia and lots of other attractions. San Valentino is a quiet little place ensconced in greenery, in the middle of the woods.

The host told us off repeatedly for arriving half an hour late, despite being advised ahead of time that we lost the way (a thing that happens often when you travel in an unfamiliar area). The house may be attractive for a die-hard fan of the 70’s rustic home design. It’s extremely old-fashioned with little charm, rather uncomfortable: gas stoves difficult to manage, beds with metal headboards, wardrobes with squeaking doors and no space inside. No iron or ironing board, no hairdryer, no electric kettle, no fans or air-conditioning, no tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil, water or anything you would expect in a B&B. No shampoo or shower gel. No bath mat. In short, it’s passable for a few days if you like to rough it or feel extremely nostalgic for your grandmother’s place in rural Tuscany…
