We stayed here in May ’24. Some of the other reviews are not for this property. Location: good location for Brest & Morlaix areas and the fantastic coastline between. It is 800m to the beach & you have to cross a road. If you drive there is a car park 100m from the beach. There is nothing nearby – bakers, restaurants & supermarkets are all several km away. Plouescat is nearest go-to place. Owner: nice person – happy to help and mention events and things to do. Outside: South-facing, mostly grit (ideal for boules) with BBQ – a good place to sit-out almost all day. Outside light didn’t work. Cottage: needs work. There is a damp issue in both the kitchen/living area and the master bedroom. You’ll notice the smell as soon as you walk in and it is in the cupboards & bedside cupboards too. There is some mould beginning to come through the paint on the bedroom wall. Fittings: Kitchen area is basic – cupboards are old and work surfaces damaged, crockery etc is a mish-mash with some broken items. There is no freezer or freezer compartment. We couldn’t find a food prep knife other than a bread knife. Shower room is very basic – a shower base with a curtain with one side up against a window. The washing machine is in the hallway but needs to be plugged in to the kitchen so the cable is a trip hazard. Nice new bedside lights but no plug socket! Listing accuracy: there is no hot tub, there is no wireless internet (phone coverage is problematic too), there is no spa/whirlpool.

A wonderful stay in Brittany

This comfortable and spacious stone cottage was just perfect for our visit to Brittany. It had everything we needed and was just a 10 minute walk from a beautiful sandy beach. The host, Yvonne, was very friendly and helpful (especially when we had a flat battery!). There were treats there for when we arrived and we were given home grown vegetables on our departure. The area is very pretty with lots of lovely beaches a short drive from the house.

The apartment was less than 100 yards from the beach and possibly a quarter of a mile to the tourist office and the first boulangerie / cafe . Loads of restaurants , shops , cafes and the usual facilities of a beach town. Carnac and its famous attractions is just a brisk walk or a short drive away . Look at a map for nearby towns and cities . The apartment exceeded our expectations mostly because of its size . A large lounge / dining room is at its heart , and the kitchen , bathroom and two bedrooms are equally generously sized .Formidable . A Bientot .

Agréable petite maison de pêcheur au charme un épi désuet, propre et bien située près d’une magnifique plage de sable blanc. Nous avons passé un séjour sympathique. Malheureusement, en raison d’une mauvaise interprétation de ma part des conditions de location, j’avais pensé que le ménage était inclus dans la location. D’où un quiproquo que je regrette. Intervention un peu fréquente du propriétaire.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen, darunter 2 Teenagern, im Juli 14 Tage an diesem schönem Ort: sehr ruhige Lage, trotzdem nahgelegene Einkaufsmöglichkeit; super schöner, sauberer Strand, tolle Gegend, sehr nette hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Das Haus ist praktisch eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht (u.a. riesiger Kühlschrank und sogar deutschem Fernsehempfang). Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Sehr ruhiges Haus und eine sehr nette Vermieterin. Alles bestens. Zum Strand sind es nur 200m. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr zweckmäßig, es ist alles da was man für einen Urlaub in der Bretagne braucht.
